Upgrade Wifi->3G, did you get used to the weight?

I just got my 3G after almost 2 months of using the wifi, and it feels quite a bit heavier -- noticeably so. Anyone else notice the same thing after upgrading? Did you get used to the extra weight, or was it still annoying after a few weeks?

certainly lighter than bringing a MiFi around, which barely last a few hours before crapping out in battery life, which also means bringing another charger for the MiFi

not to forget about bringing a separate bluetooth GPS device to compliment the WiFi only iPad (after jailbreaking) - just so it can get a GPS signal for navigation when on the move (instead of trying to connect to various WiFi networks and using Skyhook mapping).

Whatever weight increase there was for me went away the minute I used the 3G service at an airport with no wifi and got more than 2mb download speed!

I do think the weight difference is negligible. Once you get into the flexibility that the 3G provides you'll forget all about it!

Delete some files and let us know if it feels lighter.

Are you really serious? It's just over an ounce. I can't imagine how that would be an issue with anyone.

Look at the teardowns. You shouldn't be able to notice a weight difference.

That is too funny, the difference is weight is negligible, you must have a built in scale LOL.

I just read someone suggesting you delete files, that was a great suggestion. :)

And yet I do. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive.

I'll try deleting some videos, as someone suggested.

A one ounce difference is noticable? Gimme a break.

I think your mind is playing games on you. The difference is less than the weight of a sample size of toothpaste.

If your sensitive to that much weight difference you must have problems every time you eat something.

I'm chalking this thread up to some form of abstract performance art.

Oh man, that made me laugh :-D

I didn't realize there even is a weight difference.

I've handled them both at the same time for an afternoon and I really needed to look for the black antenna strip or the provider tag left top corner to see which one was 3G and which was wifi only.
Never noticed a difference while using them.

Only the part about deleting videos. Everyone knows that deleting videos doesn't change the weight. Apps, on the other hand, are really heavy.

We have 2 in the house. One wifi and one 3G. They are both in Apple cases and seem to be the same weight to me. Any difference is certainly not noticed by us here.

I noticed a difference too, when I picked it up in the store. It doesn't bother me now though since I had very little time with any iPad till I got the 3G....guess I'm just CRAZY like that:)

Maybe you should trade it in for a 16GB. I heard they are lighter than the 64GB ones.

I've arrived at the conclusion that iPad forums are proving grounds for padowan trolls.

    Just don't download too much.

    And remember to upload regularly.

This is exactly why I chose the wi-fi version. The 3G is simply too heavy for everyday use.
