I realized the fan probably would appear upside down since this thing would get mighty hot! This is identified as a ppc7450 processor for those curious.

I wanted to have 640MB of ram to match bunn's benchmark but my 128MB stick didn't want to work so I was benchmarking at 512MB.

Geekbench was quite high at 816 with a 1.5GHz when a 1.8GHz Cube scored 854. My 14" 1.42GHz iBook scores 823, and my old Dual 1GHz MDD scored 825  Xbench was 40.81

As a side note, I really should put the Geekbench that works with Tiger and Xbench on the PowerPC Archive soon :)

Funny enough, I actually installed 768mb of RAM, but one of the sticks was only reading as 128mb...I didn't catch this until after I'd posted it.

Versions of Geekbench that will work on PPC take a fair bit of digging-especially the one that will work on Tiger. I think you need 2.1 for Tiger, and 2.2.3 is-I think-the last that will on PPC Leopard.

I keep both on my "Mac Stuff" flash drive.

I also just re looked at your benchmarks, yours is a 7455 vs mine is a 7447. The 7455 has 2mb L3 cache and the 7447 has no L3 cache but a slightly bigger L2
In general the 7447s are around 20-30% slower although cooler because of smaller manufacturing process

I use GeekBench 2.2.7 on my Leopard installs, does well.
For Tiger I have version 2.2.0
