I had planned to upgrade even when I preordered the first iPad. I was going to give the old one to my gf, but now that I have had it, I wonder what they could add that will make the extra expense worth it? I will wait and see, but it really just depends on what they change.

For me, I want a stronger chip, A5. Plus, I think there will be other uses for the cameras (i.e. in-game chats, UNO or other card games or voice chat while playing COD zombies online). I can always use a bigger storage (128GB please). High res would be nice, but almost 720p is enough for me.

With the wife using my iPad more and more as the days pass, there is a chance I may buy the iPad 2, depending on what is updated.

If my wife wasn't using my iPad, I would not be upgrading. The iPad 1 would do me fine for at least another 1 or 2 years.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I'm going to look at the new iPad when it comes out before making a decision on whether I'll upgrade to it or not.

If it has a camera why not, I would love to have the iPad 2 can't wait just few more days I can get my hands on it I hope. :p

I will wait and see but I love my iPad 1 and don't think that the next gen. will be that much better.
The changes I want are mostly software related and will work fine on any generation iPad.
So most likely I wait for the 3rd generation to upgrade.

I will buy one in a heart beat, IF it has better resolution, better graphics performance and a better processor. If it doesn't have better resolution, I will not upgrade.

I'm not sure. I'd say I'm 60% likely to upgrade. It depends on the final specifications and changes.

Unless Apple introduces some mind blowing feature that I my iPad doesn't have, I will most likely stick with what I have. I'll most like wait until the product refresh after this one to upgrade.

128Gb and significantly thinner & lighter will probably be enough to sell it for me. Don't need retina display and cameras, meh. Processor bump and memory bump would clinch it.

If it can bridge the gap in some new way between tablet and laptop as far as a more full fledged OS X OS goes and has the rumored dual core everything plus the given updated screen and dual cameras then I'd be mighty tempted.

I'm just about ready to go buy a MBA but I'm waiting to see if the iPad2 gets announced next week just to be sure before going out and dropping some money.

My problem with iPad 2 is the display. I seriously doubt it will have retina display.
Without that, I really have no reason to upgrade because I am certain this iPad will run iOS 5.0 without any lags or problems.

I am wiling to hold off my iPad for another year or two.
My guess is that apple will support this iPad until iOS 6.0

The new tech come out every year for iPad, and I have no reason to keep buying one every year. I usually keep my devices 2-3 years and beyond.

I was giving it a lot of thought myself but being I have to beg my son to let me use iPad ,I could give him the 1st gen iPad,
And could use I pad 2 hmm this might work
