Hey I'm curious if anyone else who is in Canada (preferably Vancouver) can post their tracking info so I can see what and how long my computer is going to take to get here.

I ordered a white MacBook when the stores reopened Tuesday, Oct 14, and I was opening the box Thursday morning. Of course, I'm in Toronto, and the MacBook was refurbed, thus coming from Cali.

Your mileage will most certainly vary. :eek:

I'm in the same position (albeit in Toronto). My order shipped today as well, with almost the exact same transit times:

ORIGIN SCAN: 15:01
BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED: 5:27

Perhaps it's one big shipment that's being sent to a sorting facility? I'm not sure how UPS works with computers, but I'm erring on the side of caution. I've ordered photographic equipment using UPS before, and it took about a week to arrive coming from NYC. Given that it took Apple the full 3 days to process the order, I have a feeling we won't see these computers until next Monday at the earliest. That said, this is just speculation. Apparently, not too many Canadians have received their computers yet...
 
Here's what I have so far. Shipping to Whistler BC. I ordered late on the 15 and the estimated arrival is either the 22 or 23.

Since I'm a little obsessive, I have tracked down the UPS flight to Anchorage and it have arrived there more than 2 hours ago ... but UPS has still not updated the tracking details ....
 
Follow up on my last post...I just called UPS and they said that my package would be hear on Thursday.....I wont get my hopes up tho.

:eek: ... But you're right, in comparaison to folks in the UK (for instance) we in Canada are much more in luck with regard to shipping.
 
I guess I'm just bad luck. I ordered mine at 2:30 pm on the 14th. either that or it REALLY delays shipment if you BTO anything. mine hasn't left China yet. seems like I should have just ordered on the 15th. sounds like it would have gotten here sooner. I'm kinda upset that mine shipped so much later then you guys. mine has been "prepared for shipping" since the 16th.

Mine is BTO too. Maybe they ran out of the thing you customized. The demand for the new MacBooks seems pretty high.
 
right but you ordered after me. wouldn't make sense they would prosess my order first. what did you BTO?

Yikes! I BTO'd mine (kind of... 7200rpm HD) and it shipped on the third (business) day. I give them the benefit of the doubt because I placed the order late in the afternoon on the 15th. As a general rule, if you place your order after 4:00pm, don't expect it to be processed.

In your situation, however, I would suggest calling Apple and say "W.T.F. - it's been longer than 3 days to process!". I've heard that if you raise a stink, you usually get some free stuff (expedited shipping, perhaps?). At the very least, you'll know what stage of shipping your computer is at!
 
^ at least I'm not alone anymore. I'm gonna call apple, maybe they'll refund the money on the mini displayport > DVI cord I ordered as well. :p
 
I'm from the US but mine is shipping UPS, so that's why I was on this post, but anyway, mine sat in prepared from shipment for three days, so I called them on the third day, made a little bit of noise (kindly asked for them to explain why it was taking so long to ship) and that evening I got a shipping invoice for a free DVI adapter, so maybe if you make some noise you will get something too, but I'd ask for it, I still can't explain what happened with mine, could have been completely unrelated, but i digress. It is taking a really long time to ship these new computers because of high demand, and so they are sitting there ready to go, but just don't go for a while, but they couldn't tell me exactly why. So, give it some time, and it will ship. probably late tonight. I got my shipment notification at 11:30 PM EST. Now, supposedly mine is going to take seven days to get here, but that's another story...
 
UPS finally catched-up to the fact that the package arrived in Anchorage:

I've ordered mine on the 14h in the evening.. has been "prepared for shipment" since friday morning!! Nothing new since... Im beginning to get really frustrated.

Im not sure if the stalling is due to Apple or UPS. I suspect the later. UPS delivery is really crappy here in Montreal. The worst of all...

If nothing has happened tomorrow morning, Im considering cancelling and going to the Apple Store directly..

Anyone else stalled like me ??
 
I'm in Vancouver. Ordered on 14th 1:00PM PDT. BTO. shipped on oct 16 via UPS and the track info was exactly the same as below. The same boat.
I think I could travel around the world many times since UPS did not update the info.
