I'm in the exact same boat. My order 'departed' from OSAKA, JP at 22:24 (local) and I presume it's on its way to Alaska. Then, probably a few days for customs, down to the states, then back up again. UPS doesn't give me an official ETA, but my Apple shipping confirmation says Oct. 27th (Monday). I think we're both SOL...

I'm screwed too because I desperately need my computer to get some work done (deadlines fast approaching). It took me over 2 hours to secure a computer at the library today...

Heh, mine is exactly the same. If you get it tomorrow let us know. I'm supposed to get it tomorrow as well but I'm in Victoria so likely not. You probably have a good chance though.
 
im almost similar to you guys, i live in toronto, so when it stops in Mt. Hope thats alll mee, my arrival is 27th october (MY BDAY!) haha i cant wait
 
Mine left Mt. Hope 3 hours ago. I hope they come by plane to Quebec city and board the truck to my house :D

Knowing my luck I'll probably get it thursday.

Anyways... I JUST WANT IT! My 1.33 GHz iBook is tired! The text lags when I write because I have 3 apps open!
 
Got my MBP today. WOW very nice!:D Also have the MB 2.4 on order. I love the new pro but the one I am waiting on is the MB. I love the smaller laptops. But I need the power of the Pro and my work pays for one. My MB hopefuly will be here Monday. Then it will be Xmas for me.:D
 
Well my Rescheduled Delivery is still set for today, but since the tracking details haven't been updated in more than 24h (departing AK) .. who knows :( Since my wife is working from home, at least someone will be here in case they do happens to deliver today ...

Maybe Friday? I just called UPS to have up-to-date info and the lady I talked to, told me the package is just clearing-up custom in Louisville and should be delivered this Friday (10/24) ... :rolleyes: A full week after it shipped ...
 
Why did I pick the standard delivery? the fastest option was only like 14 or 17 bucks.. now that I think about it, it was totally worth it.

Anyone tried it?
 
Mine just left (at 11:00) LACHINE (In montreal) and is heading to Riviere-Du-Loup (2 hours past quebec going east). I hope I get it tomorrow!
 
They're moving. UPS said it'll arrive tomorrow though I have my doubts.:mad:

Do you get the feeling that the UPS tracking servers and call centre staff get a lot of extra traffic when Apple introduces a new product? :)

Don't know why I'm reading this thread, since I don't have anything on order - but I can still contribute a story.

Last year I was having a problem with my new refurb cinema display. I talked Apple support into sending a new power adapter, instead me returning the whole unit. For some reason, known only to Apple, actual power brick and the power cord were shipped from the same facility in California separately. I live on one of the BC gulf islands, about 30km over the water Vancouver.

One part went to Chicago, Montreal, Winnipeg, Vancouver to me. Keep in mind I could drive to California in a day from here.

The other part went to Seattle, Vancouver (30 km away!), Toronto, Nanaimo to me..... It makes no sense. To have the part you are waiting for to be so close, and then go to Toronto - sigh.

I feel your pain...

Have fun with your new systems.... and congratulations....
 
Just got mine. Was fast after it got out of Alaska. I guess that was customs. Two days from Alaska to Kentucky to Ontario to BC then to the island here in Victoria. That's pretty good considering I ordered it one week ago.

Like most posters on this thread, mine was listed as departed from Alaska for 4 days. Now showing up in Kentucky. Wondering where else it will tour before landing in Calgary. Guessing Winnipeg, then Vancouver, then Edmonton, then finally Calgary.

UPS should make their shipping routes much more direct to cut down on fuel use and expenses...
