I ordered mine on the 16th (with expedited shipping).

Those with UPS, did you choose expedited shipping?
 
I'm stuck at "left" ALASKA since friday evening. Do they even update everyday because if it's still in ALASKA after 4 days, they really suck!

I don't even have a delivery estimate on the UPS website! Never had either...

BTW, it's going to Quebec.
 
Ordered mine on the 15th and it shipped the 16th. The last tracking was a departure from Alaska but that was 4 days ago. I'm guessing they're running out of fuel by now and will have to land soon hehe.

Supposed to get it on the 22nd but I'm not holding my breath. Might give UPS a call tomorrow if it still hasn't moved. Oh, I'm in Victoria btw.
 
Most people's mb are stuck at left Alaska. Including mine. I guess the UPS guy went to the moon or fly out to the space.

Maybe we'll all get waked up by the UPS guy with a surprise laptop tomorrow? (I know, keep dreaming...)

I hope we (the ones stuck at left AK) all get a huge update with everything that happened. I hope it didn't just stall there, that would be disappointing.
 
Yep, stuck at left AK as well ... :mad: ... since it takes about 2 days to drive from Anchorage to Vancouver (according to Google map), is it possible that they loaded our Macs on a truck heading for south BC, instead of flying them to the Kentucky then fly back to the west coast? If so, that could explain why there is no update to the status for a while ...

Looks like I'll be lucky to get it this week, what a bummer.

Mine is going to Toronto, so hopefully it shouldn't take as long as the Vancouver deliveries.
 
Well I just placed my order yesterday so I'll be waiting awhile for that BTO...

However, I do live in Vancouver and have ordered one before...the route mine took was China to Alaska to St. Louis to Markham ON to Alberta to Richmond and then it was trucked to my place. Actually takes quite awhile on UPS...

Wow, I paid for expedited service ( to Canada they use FEDEX) but holy COW, what a long wait. I fully understand this is a new HOT product and orders are in high demand - but please 9 Days to deliver via FEDEX Priority is really,........ really weak.

I leave today on a plane to China and back 2 times before i will likely see my MBP.

Finally updated this morning. After sitting in Alaska for 4 days it hit Kentucky and is now in Ontario. Guess the time in Alaska was spent in customs. My expected delivery is tomorrow but i can't see me getting it until later this week or early next week. Was hoping to have it for the weekend.
 
I ordered mine right after the store opened on the 14th with a local dealer. I was thinking that they might get them in faster than ordering online. But no joy here yet.
 
9 Days to Deliver a MBP from China to Canada

Since when does it take 9 days to ship a MBP via Fedex Expedited to Canada?

Is this the norm? the original phone call I had with FEDEX they said 1-3 days. Now 9 days.

Anybody in the same vote?
 
it seems like us Canadians are getting the poopy end of shipping stick. mine has finally left osaka it's now probably making it's way accross the Pacific. I hate how a package has to be flown from Alaska to Kentucky right over top it's final destination Vancouver. it's such a waste of time, money, and environment. anyone know why apple switched to UPS I don't remember FedEx taking this long.

Most definitly agree with you. At the very least, UPS should have a west coast hub where packages to/from the west coast are routed. Sending everything to Kentucky is a waste in this age of carbon footprint arwarness ... :rolleyes:
 
I ordered my macbook on the day of the event and I live in Montreal, QC. I emailed UPS cuz there was no "expected delivery date" on my tracking info, heres the answer I got from them:

"Dear Mathieu,

Thank you for your tracking inquiry.

Our tracking system indicates that your shipment is due for delivery on October 24, 2008, by the end of the day, which is 5 business days in transit. It is due to import into the country on October 23, 2008.

oh man. mine hasn't made it to Alaska yet. It will by the end of the day but it sounds like I won't get mine till next Monday. Big disappointment. I'm especially upset that Americans who have ordered their MBP AFTER me with similar, if not the same, spec's have received theirs already.
