Eagerly anticipating the confirmed delivery of my :apple: Watch today, I made arrangements to work from home to be available for the shipment. 15 minutes ago, I see the brown truck pull through the neighborhood. I immediately walk out to my front porch and wait for the driver to stop by my house after making other deliveries. After making a number of deliveries in the neighborhood, he drives right by my home without even stopping.

I immediately pull up the tracking info for my shipment thinking it may be another truck that is making the delivery. No, the status just changed stating "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt."

Incredibly frustrated!

This happens to me constantly. I feel like they just get tired of delivering and go welp just say the dude wasn't home.

You should be able to go pick it up at your nearest depot this evening.

Wow that sucks. At least yours is claimed. Mine is still in processing (38mm Space Grey) and I ordered at 3:04am 4/10 and was given 4/24-5/8

I'm so sorry I've had that done to me by both FedEx and UPS. I think the drivers do that because they are on such a time crunch to meet a quota. It just plain sucks.

Hopefully your local distribution center is open late or on Saturday.

UPS has always been the worst and they will always refuse to make a delivery mistake/problem right.

I work for UPS and can tell you to call the 1-800# or your local hub and file a complaint. The driver will have to come for for delivery. If the supervisor doesn't approve of it then you can go pick it up tonight around 7:30. I know it sucks and I disagree with what the driver did. I don't want to hear anyone bash me because I work there. I am here to help.

How do you call your local hub? I've had issues in the past and can never get to them directly. I always get forwarded to the national customer service number.

Holding it at the hub is always the way to go to avoid these kinds of issues. Obviously, not everyone can make it work.

Hopefully you get your watch in short order.

They usually have the number unlisted. Contact the 1-800# and state that you had to take off of work to wait for a delivery and the driver never made an attempt. State that you watched him/her drive right past your house. The telematics in the truck/computer board can pinpoint exactly on google maps on where the driver scanned it. Just call ASAP!!

I'm not the one that had the issue, I was just curious as I've had very similar issues in the past. Still "Out for Delivery" on mine.

FYI, depending on your neighborhood, I have two UPS drivers. One morning, one afternoon.

And if they're busy, that's one afternoon and one LATE.

That sucks. They aren't all bad though. Our regular, friendly, UPS driver delivered mine to the office at 9:48am.

I called UPS immediately after the driver left and fully explained the situation. They transferred me to an Apple support specialist who suggested I pick it up at the local distribution center (which is only 3 miles away).

After refusing this option, the support rep offered to contact the local distribution center and attempt to have the driver deliver it today. I assume that since no InfoNotice was left, it will be obvious the driver never stopped.

Fingers crossed and anxiously waiting to see what brown can do for me...

Good luck.

This used to happen to me several years ago, like you, I would see the driver never stop. It has not happened in a very long time. I think I wrote several people at UPS, one local and one corporate.

I've never had problems with UPS; my driver is very friendly and i've never had something like that happen and I get a lot of packages.

I have had that happen. Call UPS and they will contact the hub who will call the driver and tell him to go back. They returned in about 30 minutes.
