Did you ever get that call. They all suck and are SOB’s. They don ‘t really care.
Yes but was basically told I had to wait for the package to update in the system. At 9:18 I got a notification that it was rescheduled for delivery on Saturday but at this point I doubt I will actually get it. Plus we are under a tropical storm warning now so even if the package shows up locally it probably won’t be delivered till Monday or Tuesday.

Woke up this morning to find my package has been rescheduled for Monday delivery after originally having a rescheduled delivery of today. At least it has some movement and should be on the way to the local hub. I tried to have it held for pickup but I guess Apple wasn’t allowing it this year.
 
Based on some posts on reddit it sounds like UPS screwed up and held back delivery. At least one driver was told at a morning meeting to ignore the message and deliver them anyway.

We had two phones that were at our distribution center in town and ready for delivery but delayed due to, “Uncontrollable events have delayed delivery. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible. Please check back on the next business day for updates.”

Curious how many people didn’t get their phones on time. I made sure I was home yesterday so they could be delivered and now might have to skip an event this morning for the same reason.

That’s good news that it have movement. Me and several other people tried to have our packages held but we also think the same thing about Apple not allowing it to be held. I even had to sign for mine this year.

Same here. Have 3 cameras and records every vehicle in the cul-de-sac. No UPS trucks came around at all. Hopefully they get this resolved quickly.
 
Mine also get rescheduled twice after being on the truck yesterday for delivery. I spoke with the driver (I had another package delivered) and he said he had it on the truck, but Apple told them to hold delivery. He thought it would be coming today (the 23rd), but it's now showing Monday the 25th. Since the release date was the 22nd, I'm not sure why Apple told them to hold it. He also told me that they did deliver phones that came from the carriers without issue.
 
Last year, with the iPhone 14 Pro, around 9:00p Friday on launch day, after showing "out for delivery", and "almost there" (on the UPS app), it updated to "rescheduled". Probably because the UPS guy just could not get everything delivered on Friday... the regular volume plus the added iPhone volume. Was rescheduled for Monday, but then Saturday morning, it showed out for delivery, and it was delivered Saturday afternoon. So UPS must have put additional Saturday deliveries....

Yesterday, at 8:00p, when I see the UPS truck (you can follow on the app), driving around my neighborhood , but constantly passing in front of my house, I finally flagged him down, and asked if he could give me my packages (two iPhone 15 Pros), and he did.

I was lucky that my phone was delivered within an hour after leaving the hub. Normally they deliver between 4-7pm in my complex.
 
This is why I didn't opt for shipping -- the closest Apple store to me is 45 minutes away but I didn't trust it to be delivered before the day I needed it (as a gift).
 
I want to thank UPS. I missed the delivery yesterday and they noted that redelivery would not happen until Monday. I was really disappointed. Then today the door bell rang: and I got a surprise Saturday delivery!

Update guys,

This is just not working out. The phone went back to Louisville Kentucky from my area and then back to Newark New Jersey this morning.

I suspect it’s going back overseas after Newark, but we’ll see. The funny thing says now that it’s redelivered for Tuesday the 26th. So I am really confused on what’s going on. They should be giving me this iPhone for free.

It really is a shame that UPS and Apple don’t work with each other very well, because neither company can tell me why the phone was never delivered in the beginning.

if in fact us go back overseas that I’m not getting the phone. they tried to offer me a replacement, but I’d have to wait up too three months 7 to 12 weeks.

So they have to refund me all the money that Citizens has to pay out the loan and then close it.

And yes, my local Apple Store is about an hour away. I said to them just give me a phone from the store if they have any, and said they’re not allowed to do that when you place a Web order and it’s for Home delivery.

I said, why can’t you just make an exception for this this is very ridiculous.

Is there anyone in this thread that works for UPS corporate that could tell me what actually happened because I feel like there’s something going on and I won’t tell me.

There is a Screenshots so you guys can see what it says so I’m not sure what’s happening anymore but I give up for now. This is not healthy to stress about a phone, but I paid out all this money for it so I would like it.

I understand mistakes happen, but nobody is taking accountability for anything.

He was very apologetic but this absolutely wasn’t his fault. I know our UPS guy is not shady and he knows what he’s doing. It has to be some weird system thing.

Yeah in your case, that was a complete logistical fail on UPS’ part and to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple shared at least some of the blame here since they have a lot of control over when and how UPS moves/delivers new iPhones. So them pointing fingers at each other sounds about right. I’m so sorry this happened. Is Apple doing anything at all to help get you a new?

First, I’m sorry for any misspellings. I’m using Siri and of course it doesn’t work good and I’m not checking it because it’s 6:30 in the morning lol.

In any case, Apple is not really doing anything to help me. They said if and when it comes back, they’ll have to refund me everything and then I have to buy all over again in which case it’ll be like 7 to 10 weeks.

I said I’m not buying a phone then forget about it if it goes back. So I lose out either way. Maybe I’ll try the store but if they don’t have anything then I’ll just keep using my 14 Pro Max.

UPS usually attempts three times to deliver something so for there to be a problem after the first attempt makes zero sense once again. Our small business that I work for uses UPS only.

I can see everything and know why something isn’t shipped or isn’t delivered so what’s going on here seems very shady to me that they can’t tell me anything when I know in fact they can.

But to answer your last question again no Apple isn’t really doing anything other than apologizing. They don’t have to they’re big enough company, so they lose one sale.

Maybe there’s someone that works for Apple corporate to in this thread, they could help me out lol

That is wild. I’m frustrated for you, the lack of explanation would drive me nuts too. Apple and UPS have been doing this dance every year for over a decade so it blows my mind when things go this badly. I’m hoping they’re able to shorten the delivery window or you start seeing some 15s available locally soon.

I appreciate it. My phone is gone, It's going back to Tennessee. This makes me not want anything now. Very very bad way of doing business. I also ordered all the Moft accessories. spent about 150.00. now that all has to go back lol. I'll call apple one last today and ask about it. I should get this dam thing for free now. I spent way more time on this then anyone should.

It’s ridiculous for you to have gone through all this and I hope you can get everything resolved.
 
I had a similar issue. They stated they "attempted" delivery but nobody ever showed. My wife was home, my ring app on, I even put one of the UPS-authorized signature release on my door incase we somehow missed them.

I called, opened chats etc. Then, Saturday the phone was delivered and no signature was required. First time thats happened during a release for me.
 
I was supposed to receive it on Friday 22. But it never came. I called and they told me there was a late plane and therefore couldn’t deliver it on that date. They told me it would come Monday instead, (no UPS on weekends here). We are now Monday and it still won’t be coming today, as it is still stuck at the “import scan” stage, and UPS tells me they don’t have the package yet. 😭

The thing that is total BS is they should put you at the front of the line for something that wasn't your fault for a replacement. That's totally poor customer service
 
Another update. My order is officially canceled. They got the phone at the warehouse in TN. They refunded me my taxes and I’ll be getting back the citizens payment. They can’t move me to the front of line if i reorder. They told my the system is. Nit setup like that. They kept apologizing. They at least did give me 150.00 credit to buy anything in the Apple Store. I at least got something out of this.

Standard lead time now is 7-11 weeks. Maybe I’ll try ATT direct.

I still don’t know the reason the phone was recalled. I’ll never know. This is what I’m most upset about. I guess this thread can be closed now. Again, thanks for the support from everyone.
