Apple wanted UPS to confirm phone was lost/stolen.
So i filed a claim with UPS.
UPS then emailed me, stating that Apple requires me to call in and file a claim directly… 😡
Called Apple… patiently re-explained everything from beginning. Nice lady noted it all and transferred me to sales dept:
« Hello, how can I help you today? »
😡😡
Again, blah blah blah… phone lost by UPS… blah blah blah…
« I see… we will investigate and make sure to send you a replacement asap »
Received a mail today. Good news! My replacement will be shipped soon!
Checking in the Apple Store app shows:
- Expected delivery 5-6 weeks

So… if everything goes well from now on, I should get the phone I ordered within minutes of pre-launch Opening, on September 15th, just in time for Christmas
