I ordered a iphone 6 from AT&T scheduled to be delivered tomorrow between Noon-2pm. As I understand AT&T does not require signature, but leaves it to discretion of the UPS driver. Is this correct?

Put a notice outside saying 'please leave it [designated area] then sign it (match signature with delivery name obviously) and that will be more than enough.

BTW, what's your address?

Agreed with the rest of the posts. Put your name, address, where you want the packaged placed.. shipping number and your signature. That will be more then enough. I usually tape that to my front door.

I've done all of the suggestions above, sign paper, leave at apt office, leave with neighbor etc etc. But apparently some senders absolutely require a significant in person.

Relax, I'm going to be home, I just dont trust the UPS guy to ring the doorbell and stick around more than 5 seconds.

You're not sitting on the porch in a lawn chair drinking a beer until he arrives? Am I the only one? :D

I am usually almost the last house in town to get UPS (between 7-8pm), but being a UPS My Choice member I was able to select a 2 hour delivery window (noon-2pm) that UPS has confirmed.

My UPS driver told me that all iPhones will require signatures. I'm not sure if that is his policy or UPS'. He said - I'm not leaving an $800 on anyone's doorstep.

I don't know, when Apple sends you the "Your shipment is on its way" email, there is a "Pre-Sign for Delivery" button in the email.

I agree with what he said though, no way would I ever do that. People know it's iPhone launch day and they know what the boxes look like.

Interesting. When I called them to ask why I didn't have that option available to me online they told me they aren't doing that for iPhone delivery.

My tracking number is "13", which means Next Day Air Saver, no mention of signature required. Again I think it is up to the driver.

From what I've been told it's driver discretion.

When I checked yesterday online the 2 hour delivery window was available so I choose noon to 2pm and today it shows up as confirmed.

How did you schedule for UPS to deleiver between noon and 2pm?:p

You must be a UPS My Choice member and sometimes it lets you choose a 2 hour window.

How big is your house that you're worried about the UPS guy showing up, ringing your doorbell and leaving before you make it to the front door?

I'll be home, I'm a SAHM, but I'm printing out the release form from Apple to have on hand to throw on my door when I go to the restroom or to lay my daughter down for a nap. Gotta cover all my bases!:D
