I receiving an email from UPS saying a package was being sent via UPS Surepost from Metro Custom Brokers with an expected delivery of 4/23/2015. It doesn't say where it is coming from, but that sounds like the type of package service Apple may use. Thoughts?

I guess if you haven't ordered anything else, that's probably it. Unless people send you things all the time without giving you a heads up.

Did your order status change in your Apple Store account? Do you see charges on your credit card?

I just updated my UPS My Choice settings to make sure I'll get notified when something is about to be headed my way.

Sounds like someone made a packing slip for you, man! It may be starting to happen!

No status change or charge yet. But, I really can't think of anything else that may have been shipped to me...unless someone is sending me a present.

UPS surepost is a combo service where UPS hands off to the USPS for final delivery. I don't think Apple has used this or the equivalent Fedex service in the past. I really hope that they aren't using this service, Amazon does and it is a nightmare.

My past notifications for Apple delivery via UPS have always said the sender was Apple.

Agreed. The Surepost handoff is a nightmare.

Watching this thread with hope and a bit of skepticism, not charging the card for an order that's shipped is pretty questionable. Maybe it just hasn't posted yet?

apple usually always charge you before doing any shipment processing etc. if the credit card isn't charged yet, i highly doubt its the watch

Oh man. I'm anxious to receive my watch also, but I'm not so desperate as to let common sense go out the window. I now believe that if I told you folks that my cat said the watch is coming, you'd believe it.

Apple does NOT send out product from Metro Custom Brokers. Do you seriously think Metro Custom Brokers sends out Apple packages??? Apple's packages come from Apple.

Surepost hands off the package to the USPS who will deliver without requiring a signature. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. NO WAY. NO HOW.

Now, I just had my cat tell me that my watch is shipping tomorrow for an early delivery on Monday. If you send me $10, I'll ask my cat about your delivery status. He's a very smart and magical cat.

Hmm, when I order through Amazon and take free shipping the packages come through the post office. I almost always see them within two days of placing my order. USPS here along with the other carriers are quick.

i've never heard of apple using that HORRID servide (notsurepost) before! they've always suck with actual delivery by ups or fedex....

i'd bet money that you're going to find out it's a package from a different company....

I also received a shipping notification email from UPS MyChoice with the same info. "Metro Custom Brokers" Est. Deliver April 23 (My Birthday). Seems odd that we both got this and the Apple Watch is the only thing I've ordered.

Just out of curiosity, which one did you order? 42mm Space Black Sport for me.

Also FTR... nothing has changed on my apple store order page nor has my credit card been charged yet. Strange....

I work for Ups and can tell you that the Surepost service will not be used for shipping. Our contracts are very strict with Apple and we will not let the post office deliver Apple products. We have big meetings every time a product is released and we handle all of the deliveries with signature required. You can print the Apple release form to sign if your not going to be home for delivery. There is also no delivering to your neighbors house or any other exceptions unless you have a good relationship with your driver. Any questions about the delivery operations at Ups you can send me a message and I'll try to answer as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks for the link!! So I had an account which I forgot about but had my old email address so I updated it, so in theory if anything gets into the UPS database under my name and address Ill get a notification?

I hope one wasn't sent earlier today that I missed since my email address was wrong.
