If this is “Worldwide Expedited Service,” I’d hate to see how long regular service takes....
On a Slow Boat from China!

Did you even look at the post? He's complaining about how long his phone has been held up in China. The point of your thread is...what exactly?
[doublepost=1511273123][/doublepost]I just can’t see that happening, Dave, because I had no scans for days and then finally a new scan shows up but still in China! UPS My Choice account still shows that the packet was supposed to be delivered yesterday. The basic UPS quote for this class of service is: "Delivery within four or five business days from Europe, Asia, and Latin America". You can't count weekend days. So not 10+ days Shipping.
Today is business day 5, I would be looking for it to arrive today depending your your My Choice selected location. Lots of individual units don't get updated with these bulk shipments and just "appear".
Dave
[doublepost=1511317682][/doublepost]Nope! Still stuck in China!News?
Based on looking at other people’s scans, I'm calculating at least an additional 3 days for the phone to get to me after it is released from China. I guess I just don’t understand why they call it Worldwide Expedited Service! It was released to UPS on the 14th, and hadn’t budged from the city in China where it was manufactured. How is 14 to 21 10+ days :|
You are not even counting weekends here. What is the scheduled date of delivery.
Has the scheduled delivery day passed? If not, you have nothing to complain again yet. I've seen it happen before; a package seems to be sitting around doing nothing for days and then just before the scheduled delivery it moves like crazy and arrives on time.
You have to remember that only so many planes go out each day and they can only carry so much cargo. Packages are loaded based on when their delivery is scheduled and how long it will take to get there.
According to UPS My Choice, it was due on the 20th—yesterday.
I’ve tried! UPS blames Apple, and Apple blames UPS!Get on Apple's/UPS' ass. Posting about it on forums doesn't help you or do you any good.

I'm always polite!Talk to them politely. Being polite with customer care usually works.
I think it’s funny you’re up at 5am checking on your iPhone shipment and marking up the screenshot in frustration because it’s delayed.View attachment 737368

At this point, the scans are not individual phones. It’s a scan for a large container of phones.Mine was tentatively scheduled for delivery YESTERDAY but it just arrived in Korea this morning. Like the original poster said, Apple and UPS are blaming one another which doesn't help me understand why my phone has been so delayed and some people are getting theirs before me even if they ordered after me. Super frustrating.
But doesn’tAt this point, the scans are not individual phones. It’s a scan for a large container of phones.
The problem is when Apple and UPS think your phone is in one of the containers, but it really isn’t.
People see scans showing their phone in China, to Korea, to Alaska...only to see them back in China and wonder why the phone went back. It didn’t go back, it just wasn’t in that group that left.
The delays are probably due to a local issue at the factory or distribution center and not really a UPS issue or Apple issue.
I’m not an insider, but I think these origin scans are more like paperwork being processed than a physical scan. Seems like the UPS messages during the delay are indications that they are trying to get your phone moving if they can.But doesn’t
[doublepost=1511454761][/doublepost]But doesn’t an Origin Scan mean that the packet is picked up?
My tracking said it was picked up by UPS on Nov. 14th. But UPS says that although that’s true, Apple then dictates the order in which phones get put through the UPS system for delivery, which allows for timing manipulations. This being so, don’t claim that the phones are being sent using Expedited Worldwide Service, call it Slow Bait from China instead...LOL!
