Just had my alarm go off an hour early. Anyone else experience this in the US?

Yes, I got to get up at 3:55 instead of 4:55 today. I was thrilled.

I am usually very forgiving to Apple but this is ridiculous. The alarm clock is a basic function that has been around for quite a while, it's a very important function that really needs to work correctly every time and to top it off Apple has known about the issue for a while now.

Way to suck Apple. Seriously.

This is why you always use a cheap backup alarm that doesn't automatically adjust for DST and is very basic, you always know you can count on it.

First my alarm clock woke me up one hour early, at 3:20AM instead of 4:20AM, thus ruining my morning because I couldn't go back to sleep. And NOW my alarm clock doesn't work at all. I'm about to download/buy a new alarm clock app. Please fix this ASAP!!!

Nope, my alarm went off at 6AM exactly as its supposed to. I'm on iOS 4.1 and not jailbroken.
So its not a 100% problem. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Fortunately it didn't happen to me either. I'm curious as to why though.

EDIT: I'm running 4.1 (GM version technically), on iphone 4, no jailbreak. I have an alarm set daily to 5:40 AM Monday through Friday. I'm also in Eastern Standard Time (U.S.)

My alarm worked as it normally does with no issues. iPhone 4, 4.1, Jailbroken. My wife has an iPhone 4, 4.0.X and is not jailbroken, no issues. So, i'm not sure why some are having issues and some are not...

My alarm went off an hour early, so I woke up and set my company blackberry to go off on time :D

I have a 3gs with the latest ios. My alarm is set for 5:20am everyday. I had a real puzzled look on my face at 4:20am

I wonder why it has happened to some and not to others.

My phone is not jailbroken.

iphone 3GS, iOS 4.1 JB'd. Alarm went off right on time. For the people who had their alarm go off early, how often do you sync your phone to your computer, and do you use a mac or pc?

If you are going to post a result, post what phone and what version of firmware, or else your post is kinda pointless.

Mine worked just fine ip4 4.1.

I sync mine daily, plus it's an iphone the time is pulled from the carrier.

I heard somewhere it only affects if you have it set to alarm 'everyday' vs a set day or alarm once.

My worked as usuall, central standard time. Perhaps, it's a time zone issue until the Sunday of course.

iOS 4.x time is basically fooked. Time is no longer pulled from the carrier. Mine is set to "Set Automatically" but the time is now 39 seconds slow using GPS time as a reference. Roughly two weeks ago it was 31 seconds slow. Not really diggin' the trend.

My alarm, set for 6:00 AM on weekdays went off on time, well within 40 seconds or so. :(

I am so out of it in the morning that I can't be sure but I THINK my phone woke up an hour early today.

Not positive, mind you, but I thought something felt weird.

Me too

Unfortunately, mine woke me up an hour early as well. You think apple would have a grip on stuff like this 4 years into making a phone.

woke up at 6 am. alarm set at 6 am, central usa not sure if that matters

Ip4 4.1 I tested my alarm with the time set automatically and manually. my alam does not work at all I sync with a pc. Not very often.

So I take it it is not a daylight savings time issue....

considering the US and Canada do not switch until next weekend??

are you positive it woke you up an hour early??

Getting to class an hour before it started made me pretty positive.
