The alarm issue is a known issue to Apple. They have already acknowledged that.

It occurs when those of us who set "recurring/repeating" alarms.

So those of you who set a one time only alarm (no repeats) shouldn't see an issue.

It was a pain. I had conference all day Saturday and Sunday. I was going to "sleep in" till 7am. Had my alarm set for 7am (I have my alarm set to repeat all 7 days) and the alarm woke me up at 6am.

I have two phones and my Samsung Vibrant didn't go off.

Again this is a known iphone problem with REPEATING alarm schedules, not single one time alarm.

It's a daylight savings issue. People in NZ have had this issue for a month or so already. I also heard news reports this morning that it's happening in Europe too.

I'm on an iPhone 3Gs running 4.01. No problem with my alarm which is a repeating alarm every weekday. US central time for what it's worth.

The "known issue" related to Daylight Savings Time has alarms going off an hour late, not an hour early. This sounds potentially different.

That said, husband's repeating alarms were fine this AM (iPhone 4 on 4.1 stock). My non repeating alarm was also fine (iPhone 4, 4.0 JB). I have a repeating alarm that should go off in the next few minutes and will update if that goes sideways--my clock, like many, is a couple of minutes off and always has been.

I sync mine daily, plus it's an iphone the time is pulled from the carrier.

I heard somewhere it only affects if you have it set to alarm 'everyday' vs a set day or alarm once.

This actually might be true. I had one set for only today at 530am that went off correctly and my other thats set for noon everyday went off at 11.

mine went off an hour early sunday morning and this morning. iphone 3gs, it's set to everyday 6am. eastern time zone. ios 4.1 no jailbreak

also, i have my alarm set for other times in the day to test it, and it wont' go off. WTF

Whats wierd is that my alarm didn't go off at all....My alarm for my calender didn't go off this am to remind me of event either. I just did a full restore as well. Any ideas?

Ok, so I did what some of you have already done, I just did a one time alarm and it worked fine. My calender alert beep still dosn't go off for some reason either. Now that I think of it, my alarm DID go off an hour early on sunday morning. (those were recurring alarms as well) Dang it......

I'm jailbroken, still on iOS 4.0 and my alarm went off at the correct time this morning.

EDIT: Just thought of something. I set my time MANUALLY and not automatically. Wonder if that made a difference...?

that ****er. i had my alarm set for 6 this morning, it went off at 5, and then i made sure it was set correctly...but then it didn't go off at 6, instead i just woke up randomly at 625. i was like ****! gotta be at work at 7 ahhh

Good question...just noticed I was set manually too. Same sup as yours and no alarm issues for single or repeat alarms. Hmmm...

I'm in the US, ios 4.1 and it happened to me on Sunday and today. It went off at 8am instead of 9pm. Super annoying and made me late for class because I went back to bed thinking it was going to go off at its set time.

Read the thread people. It's seems as though 99% of people who have a recurring alarm set for EVERY DAY have the problem. Like I said I had one set for 530 every Monday that went off on time then one set for noon every day that went off an hour early. This for some reason is clearly the problem.

yup, that's might be the problem.

Happened to me here in on the west coast in Canada. Glad we can find a temporary fix, but it's annoying setting the alarm to a different day each day.

hmmm... mine is only set from Monday through Friday. Maybe since i didn't include Saturday and Sunday my alarm went off okay. Hopefully, if it is a daylight savings issue, it doesn't mess me up next week.

Woke me up at 6 instead of 7 this morning, and another alarm set for 9 went off at 8. Eastern Time Zone, non-jailbroken, 4.1.

As a test, just set one for 11:12, everyday. It just went off at 10:12. Also did a weekday-only test, and that didn't go off. So the easy workaround seems to be just setting the alarms for weekdays-only.

One hour early for me also. iPhone 3GS, 4.1, alarm set to repeat everyday. Not amused. I've made it non-repeating. We'll see how that works. WTF, who writes this code?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I wonder why it has happened to some and not to others.

My phone is not jailbroken.

Strange isn't it? My alarm works just fine (knocks on wood), but my friend's alarm went off one hour early...

Btw - I'm on 4.1 no jailbreak

Not only the USA, Canada too.

Two days in a row now when I had my phone set for 13:15 hrs (PST), it woke me up at 12:12 pm.

So this is happening in Canada too. I set up a poll in the forums to see what kind of percentages this is happening to.

WW

Mine has gone off one hour early for the last couple days. Extremely annoying.

I'm in PST.

My professor uses his iPhone to wake up in the mornings and was late to my class because of the DST issue. I didn't complain about missing a little class though :p
