I am only getting a 1-3 day shipping time for the 2.16ghz model...I don't see any 3-4 week wait on top of that. Do you see something different?

According to another post I saw, he asked by phone and they said the 2.16 CTO option would push their ship date back another month.

This explains the shipping delay, I'm guessing they were waiting on the yes or no for these chips before any decisions were made.

so i'm guessing that technically means there was never and never will be a 1.67Ghz mbp.

....the line up gets more confusing by the day.

the UK site is yet to be updated...if you bought the 1.67Ghz would it be upgraded free?

a nice way to save £300.
that or we're not getting the upgrades in the UK, but I doubt that.

I guess this is pretty good news - I (theoretically at least, it's hard to know with our IT group) ordered the 1.83, so I guess I'll be getting the 2.0, which is nice. Not sure the company would have freed up another $300 on the 2.16, so I should be happy.

Of course, I likely won't be getting it until sometime in March...
