any recommendations?

I have a MBP 60W charger which I'm using on my MBP and ipad. For my MBP I also need HDMI (4k/30 is enough as my monitor is limited to that), and USB-A for a work speakerphone/Jabra thing. Ethernet would be a bonus but not essential.

For Ipad obviously I'd want that power pass through and also the HDMI.

Neat cabling is important so I think I probably want one with two USB-C ports, not a 'tail' - that way I can use a longer USB-C cable to route to the side of my desk.

I went with the https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperdrive-6-in-1-hub-for-ipad-pro-2018?variant=19332717412414 as part of the kickstarter. It doesn't have Ethernet and only one usb-c port - I think a single usb-c port for power pass-through is pretty standard tbh. Last time I looked, most hubs only had the one.

Fits well on the iPad Pro and my 13" MBP.

There's so many options out there now, maybe have a look on Amazon and do a search, see how many tick all the boxes then come here to see if anybody has used your shortlisted ones?

Someone really needs to make a USB-C comparison tool that allows you to filter out based on compatibility/ ports.

I got one with a tail and a usb-c extension cable. Couldn’t find one without a tail that fit what I wanted. Works well with both MBP and IPad Pro. My only concern is I want that single usb-c cable to also be for charging the iPad (power comes form MBP 13” charger - 60w?). Will the iPad be ok even though technically it’s connected to a monitor too?

‘also unfortunately I can’t seem to charge my usb-c portable battery pack through the dock. I guess there is some handshaking going on. Haven’t tried my switch yet
