Hahaha! Apple trained up to use the app to buy things. Just close down the site, and eventually they(us) will have no choice but to use the app. Now when we get the new iP6, we'll use the NFC at places.
Needless to say I have yet to see the "add to cart" for the 128GB space grey for the AT&T yet.

Wait for it to appear! It took nearly 2 minutes for the continue button to turn green when I ordered my Space Gray 128GB iP6 Plus.
Also the Shipping date is 7-10 days but the estimated delivery date is Oct 1-10, which seems odd but whatever. I got the order in thats what mattered to me.

For the longest time almost all were unavailable through the Apple Store iPhone App. Kept occasionally getting availability on some Silver iPhone 6 and some Space Gray iPhone 6 and then randomly some Gold iPhone 6 Plus.
Was going to give up or had the chance to go forward/continue with the 64GB Silver 6. Kept trying and finally the 64GB Silver 6 Plus showed up as 9/19. So I continued. Couple carrier issues. Eventually I had 2 in my cart somehow and then deleted one and complete the purchase and received Apple email confirmation.
Here's to hoping that Plus won't be too big. I was on the fence with the 4.7" 6.

EFFF the app, it only lets orders for upgrades or existing accounts. There's no way to buy off contract or t-mobile version. Waiting lines next Friday like last year!

FINALLY got my order through. I was trying the verizon site and kept getting an error. Apple's site was still down. Thank you for saying the app was working! I got a 64 gb plus. I get to have it on launch day too! I was going to be angry if i had to wait since I had been trying for over an hour!
It was the same for me. It wasn't until 2:45 that I was able to get through using the app. I recommended is option to several peeps and I'm not sure how they fared. The 6 seemed to have more supply than the 6+. My wife's 6 was a breeze to get and sb here by the 19. The 6+ said 7-10 days.
I think they put speed bumps in to slow us down. Click at the bottom four times, then throw in a click at the top - then wait three minutes and click again. lol
Ok this sucked. The site isn't up and finally when I did get "add to cart" the bloody phone is already delayed. '

I wanted the same, but i was messing around with other configs when it went through, given the hassle I just took it.
Took and hour but we at least got our phones.
Did in store pick up, cause at first it said 7-10 days. But could pick up in store on 9/19.
Then my wife orders hers 3 min later and it said all were available for shipping on 9/19 (Arrghh)
I just hope in store pick up goes a lot smoother than this mess tonight.

Question: Had to use the app instead of the Verizon site so I had to order the phone on my daughter's line which was due for an upgrade rather than do a transfer to mine. I should just be able to pop my existing nano-SIM from my 5s in the phone when it comes and it will work fine on my line, correct?

When I use the Apple Store app, and I put in all the info I'm supposed to about the phone I want, it doesn't give me the continue button on the top. It's not even there and faded. There's no button there. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try clicking up different configurations until the button shows up for the one you want. Worked for me twice as well as a few others.
After about 43 tries and 83 minutes I finally got order confirmation through the iOS app (unlocked, full price). Apple you pissed me off tonight. Going to bed, kind of happy, kind of pissed off. #FirstWorldProblems
Plus1 for being annoyed but sane enough to recognize how silly this all is!
