I’ve been looking for this solution for years. I have a MacBook Pro and an iMac, and I like using AirPlay to extend the MacBook onto the iMac—but that leaves the MacBook webcam at a terrible angle. I’ve always wanted to use the iMac’s built-in camera for Teams and Zoom calls running on the MacBook. Nothing quite existed for that, so I built it. With so many headless Mac minis out there, I can see a useful case for those setups too.
It’s called CamPass. It lets one Mac share its camera with another Mac over your local network, where it appears as a normal virtual camera in apps like Teams, Zoom, FaceTime, and Google Meet. Everything runs locally, with no cloud streaming or account required.
It includes a seven-day trial, and I’d love for people to try it, share feedback, and suggest improvements.
