oh, thanks! you don't have to download it on account of me, I can do that too. I'm just curious if MFi FPS games work with this tweak or not. but if you do download it, let me know! thanks!

Okay, tried it out. The game plays like a traditional FPS on a console. Team commands and some other actions are mapped to the d-pad. The game plays great and feels much better with the controls.

There are a couple of issue I have is that the menus in this game still have to be controlled with the touch screen as well as some in game actions when in tactical mode. This is to be expected since this game has both FPS and a top down tactical mode within missions.

The only other thing I see is that the tutorial explains what to push on screen, but doesn't tell you what the corresponding button would be. I think this is probably due to the game being developed/coming out before MFI controllers being released.

I love FPS and CoD played as I would expect a console FPS would play during the FPS sections.

Some others to check out as well if you like FPS:

I was wanting MC4 but read it isn't MFi compatible? but it works for you with this jailbreak tweak? thanks for the update.

I've heard nothing about MC4 working with MFI controllers, hope it happens though. I have a feeling that they are prepping MC5 so probably aren't going to implement it for MC4.

MicroByte,
Thanks so much for trying it out and posting an update. I figured there would have to be a mix of touch and ps3 controller. As long as the actual game play is with the ps3 controller, I'm in.

Also, thanks for the recommendations of other games. I also assumed MC5 was on progress.

thanks, playing Dead Trigger 2 now (since it was free to download) and the gameplay is just as I would expect an FPS on my PS3 to be like.

Yeah, it's really good for a freebie.

First game I fired up when I finished my FrankenMFI:

So I went to a local pawn shop and picked up a used PS3 controller for $20 just to try this out.. WOW! it works fantastic. I love that the buttons are premapped on the games and ready to play. I noticed as well though, in some games you do have to press through menus on touch screen; like Asphalt Racing you have to keep going through menu options until its race time, then it works great for racing. I hope this will be fixed in the future now that the real MFi controllers are starting to come out.

I tried to airplay my game to the Appletv3 last night and it did have a little lag to it. It was enough to bother me playing but not enough to bother my kids, wife who was watching me on the screen. So I am definitely thinking about picking up a Lightning to HDMI connector for the TV, but again I would have to keep getting up and down to go through the menus on "some" games before playing.

Grand Theft Auto worked FANTASTIC.. All menus were navigated using the controller, as does Sonic, Oceanhorn and others. I am really excited about this tweak and thank God Apple opened up MFi controller support..

Who needs a Nintendo DS or a PSVita now huh?

Which GTA? I can't seem to get gas or reverse to work on San Andreas :(
