couldn't decide on which one to get so i tried both out since apple lets you return within 14 days.

used the iphone 12 first returned it...then used the 12 pro

kept the regular 12 because i absolutely loved how light it was. they were the exact same phone once i put a case on it. i came from a iphone x

the aluminum actually looks better than the stainless steel imo. if i had to go caseless then i would def use the pro..the back looks way better

if the iphone pro max weighed like the regular iphone then i would def buy that

I did the same. I had the 12 Pro for 14 days then gave it to my wife and then tried a 12.

The main reason I didn’t like the pro was because of the weight. When I got the 12 it was a noticeable weight difference. On paper doesn’t seem like much but for me real life experience I notice the difference. The pro is too dang heavy.

I was actually pondering trying out the 12 pro, so thanks for this post. Were you blown away by the pro’s camera relative to the 12?

I just want a camera that I can whip out of my pocket and snap a pic. The 12 does that.

I used the 12 Pro for a week to try coming from 11 Max. I didn't lie the size so I took it back after a week. Old the battery just didn't seem to hold up. Waiting to pick up the 12 Max this morning.

I went back ha Had the Xs Max. I loved the screen size but it was just becoming more and more cumbersome to lug around in my pocket.

Happy with the size of my 12 now.

Coming from a 7 Plus I'm finding the 12 Pro Max is sadly too big, boxy and heavy for me. Torn between 12 and 12 Pro but opting for the 12 as it has aluminium rails and comes in black.

All the positive reviews for the Mini has me wanting to try one....

I thought I wanted the mini myself until I went from 12 pro to 12. I’m set. I’m used to the 12 size and like the better battery.

👍 Good news.

I loved the original SE so have fond memories and the transition to the Plus sized phones was hard at the time. But I quickly found myself using my iPhone over the ipad until the ipad was sold.

While I'm finding the Pro Max just too much of a phone I know I couldnt transition to the mini and use it the same way as I use my phone now. It would have to go hand in hand with an ipad. Plus, as you mention, the battery is a weak point on the Mini.

Will see how I feel tomo when the 12 comes. Also I'm looking forward to an actual black phone rather than "Graphite". It's good to see so much positivity towards all of the 12 Series phones as we are spoilt for choice this year.

I tried using the regular 12 but didn't like that the screen couldn't get as bright as the pro versions. I did like the lighter weight of it and the look of the aluminum more though.

I swapped my SG 11 pro for a Black 12, very happy with it, much lighter and like the all Black v the SG. Battery wise not seeing any difference yet and my 11 pro had 100% battery after 13 months.
Still get 2 days lol.
I was thinking mini early on but for $150AUD extra the 12 is better value imo.

If going to the Apple store wasn’t such a hassle these days maybe that wouldn’t be the case ha

Has anyone with a 12 noticed this ring forming around their camera lens? Not a big deal but I’m curious if this is just an isolated thing.

I’m always wiping that off from my 11 Pro with a microfiber cloth. I don’t know what it is since I never touch that part of the phone with my fingers. I keep my pockets clean (vacuum out lint, launder regularly). It seems to form within minutes of me wiping out the lenses down. It does come off.

On WiFi or cellular?
Wifi.

An update after going to work at 1p and working till 11p and NOT charging it overnight. I woke up at 8a to it at 74%. 😳 That’s no charging for 17 hours except for a 15 min drive home from work on CarPlay (not fast charging at all).

Mostly Wifi use at home and work and no 5G as my plan doesn’t offer it.

Another update on battery life:

I haven’t charged the 12 Pro Max since getting up yesterday, except for 1 hour total in the car for my work commute (15 min each way for 2 days) on slow lighting via CarPlay, and it’s at 42%. That’s no charging overnight. I’m not going to charge it again tonight and see what kind of mileage I get.

The battery life is just astonishingly good. I’m more than please.

Yea on WiFi only that looks good. But try it turning WiFi off.

See my updated post. I was off Wifi yesterday for a good chunk as the network at work blocks certain mundane services that I use. I am not on 5G however as my plan doesn’t support it and, frankly, I don’t need it. We all know the Qualcomm chip isn’t great.
