couldn't decide on which one to get so i tried both out since apple lets you return within 14 days.

used the iphone 12 first returned it...then used the 12 pro

kept the regular 12 because i absolutely loved how light it was. they were the exact same phone once i put a case on it. i came from a iphone x

the aluminum actually looks better than the stainless steel imo. if i had to go caseless then i would def use the pro..the back looks way better

if the iphone pro max weighed like the regular iphone then i would def buy that

I thought you first returned it. how did you keep it, did you re-order it again?

Honestly I had felt Apple polarized differences between regular iphone 12 and Pro just because lol.
matte colours on the backs of the Pro's is preferred.
shine is preferred on the bezels - just my preference.

There’s no way he returned it and got the same phone.

What OP meant to say is he got a 12, returned it, got a 12 Pro, returned it, and then got yet another 12. Now a 12 and 12 pro have to go through refurbishment and OP has contributed to making all of our phones more expensive.

So, the only difference between the 12 and the Pro is the camera, right? How is the Pro better since it has telephoto-lens? Do telephoto-lens concern just the zoom-in or also standard pics?

I found my answer: https://www.gsmarena.com/iphone_12_vs_12_pro_vs_11_pro_camera-review-2194p2.php "
The primary and the ultrawide cameras on both phones are identical and shoot equally good photos.

The 12 Pro's exclusive Portrait Night Mode sounded good on paper, but as it turns out, you can get a similar quality image with the iPhone 12.

So at the end - if you don't care about the AR and 3D scanning applications of the 12 Pro's LiDAR camera, the iPhone 12 Pro has only one advantage over the iPhone 12 and that's the 2x optical zoom.

Indeed, the optically zoomed photos are noticeably sharper at closer examinations at 12MP. However, if you don't need high-resolution zoom images or you never care to look at your photos on larger screens, the iPhone 12 digital zoom might be just enough for you allowing you to save some cash from the upgrade."

I just want an iPhone I can whip out of my pocket and take a pic or video without much fudging around.
