Very nice indeed, but the A14 GPU in the iPhone has much lower metal scores than the A14 in the iPad Air, which we discussed last year and could not explain. Now it just looks like Apple has removed some artificial limitation.

Not just clocking though. Apple is often just using bigger dies than the Android SoC. If have more "stuff" that is active and doing something then it will probably consume more power . Apple is willing to spend power but also using power gating so when not using subparts of the SoC they can turn those off with high granularity.
It is wrong connotation that Apple goes to super, max turbo clocks. Apple tends not to push their particular fab process tech they are using off into " diminishing returns zones"
The fully active A15 has one more GPU "core" than the A14. Highly doubtful that if light up all the function units in a A15 for an extended period of time that it uses less power than an A14. More likely that Apple does some "race to sleep" by dispatching certain workloads off to better accelerators and finish quicker so can quit quicker.
Apple's standard "battery life" metrics are playing video , playing video that streams in over internet, and playing audio. All of those can be done by and single E core offloading the grunt work to fixed function logic for video and/or audio. The P cores could all be completely asleep the vast majority of time.
Probably not. If Apple is using. an N5P which provides around 13% less power for same clock then Apple is more likely taking that and spending it on the bigger die elements like bigger L3 system cache and the additional GPU core.
That is actually indicated in that the Mini and iPhone Pros have the "extra" GPU core on and the regular iPhone 13 has the GPU core off. In general , some battery size differences between those two groups. (some reports that Mini might be downclocked a bit but the Mini's screen power draw is an offset to its bigger battery )

We see 10-20% better CPU performance compared to A14. That's a better year-to-year improvement than Intel, AMD or Qualcomm can boast. This doom and gloom article is not only silly but also factually wrong.

This comment is why I mentioned trends in the first place. A single “off” year in performance uplift by itself (which this may not even be) isn’t enough to demonstrate issues. Especially without knowing how resources were spent, and having to rely on speculation based on reading between the lines in the marketing copy.

True but last year supposedly the pandemic delayed that event and it was supposed to be October and the most of the rumors currently have it returning to that schedule.

Generally, after one month, there's not really going to be any new press to come out so there's no need to delay the macs to November just because of press reasons. It may be in November for other unrelated reasons. Last year's mac event was in November because the iPhone event was in October. Apple has done Sept/Oct events several times:

BTW, the reason last year's event was pushed to November was because of COVID. Most rumors are estimating October event may happen in the next three weeks. Of course, nobody outside of Apple knows for certain and nobody who doesn't have direct information should be unequivocally saying the event will happen on specific dates.

I think most of us would just appreciate that you don't pass yourself off as an expert in saying 100% that products will be released or Apple events will occur on a certain date.

I provided my reasoning for those "Tuesdays in November" weeks ago here. I was responded to in an educated and respectful manner on Sep 17, 2021. After that date it was brought back to life by a troll.
It takes a troll with such a mundane life to take the extra effort to screenshot my post from a locked archived thread to troll me on this one.

The 2012 iMac started shipping in December 2012. My BTO was pre-ordered on day 1 but arrived February 2013.
The 2011 iMac was announced August 2011. The typical product cycle lasts 9-12 months.
I never got mad at any forum member or this site for any speculation they may have produced. I am smart enough to know that these are all rumors.
Sure I felt sad it took 6-9 months longer than expected to get this iMac but never did it occur to me to waste my time to troll someone about it.
With such a lengthy delay it should be called an early 2013 iMac instead of a late 2012 model.
People who need any device now will buy now. Those who are willing to wait will wait. Guess where I and other rumor mongering individuals will do?
I waited for the 2012 model because I already had the 2011 MBP. I prefer to space out my Apple purchases to the next year at minimum. No particular reason but a personal preference.

The problem is, Sir, you have a track record of repeatedly telling people that you are 100% certain that products will be announced and/or released on a certain date. You have been doing this repeatedly and ME bringing up closed threads and past quotes are only meant to reinforce to others what you are doing and warn them your information is not as authentic as you make it out to be.
This is important because members of this forum have been questioning your posts, and when they do, it seems like you double down on the information with "100% certainty," never interjecting that you are merely speculating.
Those of us that know better take your information with a grain of salt. However, I feel bad for any newbie that comes to this forum wondering whether it's worth buying a product or waiting -- only to see your posts and take the information as being valid. That can screw someone up when they are carefully considering expensive purchases and I think as a community, we have a responsibility not to provide inaccurate release information to those newbies.

Nobody is trolling you. You have been left alone for months. You only get trolled when you behave in such a cocky manner. And then when you get called out for it, you turn around, play the victim card, and begin making personal attacks.
