So by your logic, everyone should wait until .2 release? How would anything be found and fixed if no one updated and found issues?

You know how? Companies used to hire actual people to test their software and report bugs before they released. This was called a QA Department. That stands for Quality Assurance (which today's Apple most certainly does not). Well, what can you expect from a trillion dollar company. They need to conserve their very limited resources for the shareholders.

My work Exchange calendar has never worked with MacOS since Monterey.
Even though it works perfectly on iOS, WatchOS and iPadOS.

Since many are still willing to commit to beta testing, it won't be an issue. It simply gives more time to the software engineers, vs Apple's own somewhat strict timeline to release OSes even while it's still buggy.

With Ventura, I was having problems with Reminders and Notes, not properly syncing with exchange. I ended up deleting my exchange accounts from Ventura, restarted my computer and added them back again. After doing that, everything synced up and worked properly.

I’ve had these issues for the past year pre-Ventura too due to macOS not renewing authentication when required (i.e. a user is re-required to enter their MFA code but for some reason macOS fails silently and just stops synchronising all Exchange data except email). That said, I’ve also tested other third party apps and some seem to suffer the same issue, so I don’t think it’s unique to Apple.
Same.

Difference here, is that my Desktop Calendar is always out of sync with my mobile devices and laptop.
I was hoping that Ventura might make it a bit more consistent.

IT WORKED!!!!!
Everything is back in sync . . . till it isn't (holding breath)

Try the updated. I had same issue, and now it works.
No changes to sync, delete, or change any account settings.

This has been ONE of the most frustrating issues for me (mail and calendar, syncing with Exchange server).

I have to use Office 365 for work and my calendar doesn’t sync onto my MacBook Air M1 running Monterey...
On iOS and iPadOS though, no sync issue!!!

The point was @ian87w said if you don't wait until .2 versions, it's your own fault and you deserve what you get. If everyone waited for .2 update, then nothing would get fixed because, as sad as it is, those of us that upgrade to the .0 and .1 updates actually do the testing for Apple.

Your reply doesn't explain how anything would change if people waited. You almost confirm that Apple doesn't QA stuff themselves. So how do bugs get fixed? (there is already a huge base of beta testers, many of whom complain that issues they reported aren't fixed in releases).

Basically, if the majority waited for .2 updates, the situation would get worse.

Thanks! Can you please elaborate what you mean by updated? This would be a game changer for me

I'm curious, does that include using the Outlook app on your phone? -- I used Exchange in Apple's apps for years but seeing too many issues this time around. Wondering if I go Outlook, is it best to use it on the Mac and iOS?
Yes, I use outlook on the phone, primarily to access shared mailboxes.

What a short memory you have, those releases were often bug riddled till the first, second or sometimes third point releases. Nothings changed apart from the colour of the lens in your spectacles.
As I recall things were fixed up in the first few months and then we had a full 18+ months or more of stability, whereas right now an OS only gets 12 months of life total.

Is it this...?

Exchange calendar not syncing in macOS Monterey 12.3

Every since upgrading to macOS Monterey 12.3, I'm having trouble with syncing my Exchange calendar in the native Calendar app. Note: by Exchange calendar, I mean the Office 365 calendar, a service my university subscribes to.

I am able to add the calendar to the native application and events do show up. But it seems that soon after that, it stops syncing and new events will not show even with a forced refresh.

I found that doing this re-syncs everything:
Code:
launchctl stop com.apple.CalendarAgent
launchctl start com.apple.CalendarAgent

And doing this has pretty much permanently fixed it:

I just added the below to my crontab to run every hour.

Code:
0 * * * *       launchctl stop com.apple.CalendarAgent && launchctl start com.apple.CalendarAgent

I have the M1 MacMini that exchange doesn't work in Calendar and I have a 2019 intel MacBook Pro that works just fine. Both running Ace Ventura.

I have been experiencing the same issues with Ventura. I have also been experiencing recurrent problems on iOS and iPadOS for all my O365 accounts (which I have deleted and re-set up, to no avail), which made me start wondering whether they could be related. On iOS/iPadOS, I keep getting a popup like this:

iPads - 1.jpeg

When I click on "More Details", I see this:

iPads - 1 (1).jpeg

When I check on the list of Apple trusted root certificates (https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT213464), I see that DigiCert CA-1 is not on the list). Could this be the source of the problems with Exchange in Ventura as well as iOS/iPadOS? If so, is this something I can fix on my end?

The following one-liner in the Terminal will set your Mac to restart the calendar syncer every hour. Your Mac will ask permission for the Terminal to alter system settings after you hit Return.

Code:
(crontab -l ; echo "0 * * * * launchctl stop com.apple.CalendarAgent && launchctl start com.apple.CalendarAgent") | sort - | uniq - | crontab -

To explain what it does:
- It opens the crontab (the background scheduler for the commandline) for editing
- It adds the following rule if not already there:
- Every first minute of every hour, stop and start the Calendar Agent (which syncs your calendar)
- Saves the crontab.

The crontab solution is a great idea. But touch wood, calendar is syncing for me with Ventura 13.1 and push updates in settings :).

Not here - Calendar shows all my exchange invites as "accepted" even though I haven't interacted with them at all. latest iOS (16.3.1) shows them properly as not yet accepted. This is a new problem that started a week or two ago. removing and re-adding calendar does nothing to help.

So this still seems to be an issue. I can confirm that simply turning off and on the calendar will not fix the issue. I had to manually delete the account from the Mac and re-add it back for all the events to come in.

I did find another solution on Reddit, but haven't tried it yet. But here it is:

This is a problem I've been experiencing for over a year. I'm glad it's getting some recognition now that it's being reported as a bug in Ventura, but I'm still on Monterey and have this problem every couple days across multiple Exchange accounts/domains.

I haven't found a permanent solution, but have found that stopping and restarting the CalendarAgent process does force the calendars to refresh for a while without having to sign in again.

I added the Terminal commands below as a workflow in Alfred to run quickly on demand, but this could easily be launched from an AppleScript file or Automator workflow as well.
killall Calendar launchctl stop com.apple.CalendarAgent launchctl start com.apple.CalendarAgent open -a Calendar

So does this issue remained after the latest macOS updates?
