Logitech G700s, with Logitech Gaming Software 8.83.55 here.
Working fine.

I have the same mouse but don't have any Logitech software installed and Sierra messed up scrolling for me. Now, if I try to do very slow, precise scrolling with the scroll wheel, the scroll isn't registered most of the time. I have to scroll a little bit faster in order for the scroll to be recognized by the computer.

I just tried it here in both Safari and Chrome on my MacBook Pro and when I scrolled slowly on this page (click.......click........click), the browser didn't scroll at all. As soon as I picked up the pace with the scroll, the browser started scrolling.

Can you do me a huge favor and try to do the same and let me know if the you're able to scroll at a slow pace and have the browser respond every time the scroll wheel clicks while you're scrolling slowly?

If it works, then I'll have to (reluctantly) download the gaming software. I haven't been a fan of Logitech's software in the past as I feel that it adds mostly unnecessary bloat to the system.

This has been a pain in the butt for my work, which requires me to scroll frame by frame through image sets. I've been using the arrow keys -- which isn't ideal.

Well, I can confirm that installing the latest available version of the Logitech Gaming Software for Mac (version 8.83.55) did not fix my scrolling issues with the G700s. So, I guess I'll be waiting for the next version of Sierra and hoping that it fixes the problem.

Update: Well, after uninstalling the Logitech Gaming software, I discovered that somehow, the problem had gotten worse. It went from being only scrolling issues on my Mac and in a Parallels VM to still having the scrolling issues plus serious cursor lag in the Parallels VM.

I reverted back to my last El Capitan Time Machine backup and all Logitech mouse problems are completely gone. I'll be waiting for the next point release of Sierra to see if that finally fixes the issue with that version of the OS.

LCC 3.9.5.66 with claimed Sierra bug fixes but still incredible choppy scrolling in Finder with Performance MX and infinity scroll works almost nowhere, start the infinity scroll and it stops randomly wherever it feels like it

Have LCC for Sierra fixed the scrolling for anyone with Performance MX?

Why would anyone use this atrocity of a thing on a beautiful Mac?

in this case, the word "use" is the important one. your magic mouse might look dandy fine, sitting next to your keyboard, but from an ergonomical perspective it's an utter piece of crap. or to quote s.j.: "design is how it works"

I laugh at you all. Mouse Pfft. Trackpads pfft.

Wacom. That is all.

Oh by the way you are right. This is STUPID thread in every way. Only Macrumors could incite anger regarding an input device.

you have to visit slashdot some day...

btw., i recently spent an entertaining afternoon getting wacom pressure sensitivity to work with after effects on el capitan. fun times.

Hmm What issue... I am using AE / El Cap / Wacom Cintiq - works fine.

No idea what slashdot is... looks dull and angry.

I don't have a scrolling problem with my Logitech M525, but I do have a huge lag when simultaneously using the mouse and trackpad. Specifically, when I grab something with the mouse and then move it with the trackpad. I started working this way a few years ago when I developed wrist problems from all the mousing. So now I use the mouse with my left hand and the trackpad with my right hand. It is hugely efficient, and involves very little movement. Basically, the mouse almost never moves; I just use the buttons and the scroll wheel. When I want to move something (or select text), I glide over to it with the trackpad, grab it with the mouse, and glide it away with the trackpad while holding down the mouse button. This is way easier than using the trackpad alone, where you have to drag while pressing down to keep it grabbed. (And the thing where you grab by double-clicking or whatever is hugely error prone and annoying.)(

This method has been super efficient for me, because there is very little wrist movement involved, I can be very precise, and I make no errors. But now it’s so laggy I can barely use it. Basically, I grab, and when I drag the window doesn’t move (or the text doesn’t appear to be selected) until I let go of the mouse button. So f*%k you very much, Logitech, for your ****** drivers, and f*%k you very much Apple for "fixing" something that wasn't broken. (Why did you change mouse and trackpad handling for Sierra? Why? WHY?)

I installed the updated LCC and it did nothing to resolve the problem.

Running MBA with Sierra (just upgraded?!) now my Logitech MX bluetooth mouse no longer connects - in bluetooth connection setting it tries to PAIR and it quickly cycles from "connected' to "not connected".....thats all that happens! It was working fine prior to the upgrade! Apple needs to get their S#@T together turning into Microsoft!

Yay! The wrecked scrolling on magic mouse (in IntelliJ for instance), has now been solved in 10.12.1.

Any one else able to confirm that scrolling has been fixed in 10.12.1? I am waiting to upgrade until I know my Logitech Performance MX mouse will work properly ....

My scrolling is borked.. I've got 10.12.1 and the latest Logiturd software which doesn't even recognise the mouse.

For what it's worth, I'm on 10.12.1 (mid-2012 rMBP) and use a Performance MX mouse with LCC 3.9.5 and don't have any problems.

After updating to Sierra, scrolling on my Logitech is frustratingly broken. I've never used LCC or any drivers and have always been "proud" to say any mouse works on the Mac with plug and play. But I guess no longer?

Without resorting to 3rd-party drivers or software, what simple, ergonomic, and wired mouse options are there that work now?

I'm also using LCC 3.9.5.66 with Sierra 10.12.1 and scrolling with either my Anywhere MX or Performance MX mice is horrid. Things were working fine before I upgraded to Sierra. After which, LCC was broken, so I downloaded the latest (3.9.5.66), and now I have the issues described. (Note that without LCC, scrolling with these mice is not great, but I may try uninstalling LCC to see if it's any better than current situation.)

Examples: (1) try highlighting text while scrolling, the highlighting used to continually highlight; now it just starts over with where the highlighting begins; (2) precision scrolling (moving scroll wheel 1/4 of a turn) has zero affect.

My various settings: I have my LCC scroll wheel set to 1/2 tick on speed, and 1 tick on acceleration; in OS X, scrolling speed is on 5th tick.

Update: Logitech has released a new version of its Logitech Control Center that's designed for macOS Sierra.

I'm still having issues with the latest version (3.9.5). Specifically on the scrolling. When setting Acceleration to 0, the page doesn't scroll at all. For every increment of Acceleration, it jumps further down the page, as opposed to the smooth scrolling I've been used to with the Logitech Performance MX.

Any ideas on how to fix the jumpy-ness of the scrolling?

Well, there is this:

Not tried it myself however, as it looks like exactly the kind of rigmarole i've been avoiding for the past 20 years as a Mac user. I'd rather Apple/Logitech got off their over paid backsides and addressed the issue properly themselves.

Spend a couple of dollars on the BetterTouchTool it works great with mine better than the LCC ever did with its random reverting to the default behaviour of the button when assigned to a different action using the LCC. On 10.11.6 ATM no signs of this bad scrolling using it.

The bad scrolling issue is only on Sierra/MacOS 10.12. I installed BTT, but do not see a way to fix this scrolling issue.

I haven't tried this "fix", but I assume that it was to address the crashing issue of LCC 3.9.4 on Sierra. I could be wrong. I wish the video author would explain what his fix is fixing

Lovely looking like my idea of always staying at least one OS behind the curve pays off again in the bugs being ironed out department.

Still suffering with a Logitech mouse and its wacky uncontrollable response to scroll input. I don't use any 3rd party mouse software and don't want to. I guess Apple does not want us using Logitech mice?

Can someone please recommend a wired mouse with 2 buttons that can scroll in Sierra without extra software?

Can anyone report if scrolling was fixed with 10.12.2 released today?

Its fixed for me
Logitech Control Centre still doesn't see the mouse however, but I don't much care about that anyway. Mac OS seems to take care of it fine regardless.
