Putting a Honda mask on a Ferrari.

Bad analogy. Hondas don't have 500 high-risk security issues. They also don't take your friends to the wrong houses. Unlike Crapdroid and it's "Oops, your text went to the wrong person" issues. Your analogy makes Honda sad.

More like putting a Flinstone mobile mask on a Ferrari.

I know most of you won't believe it but some people even run Windows on their Macs.

:D

i know more than a few people who boot camp their MBP...mostly for work related reasons. Fairly common thing to do....

i mean, i dont care to make my iphone look like a android, but i do LOVE that there is that option is i do decide that i want that.

I use a couple of Android themes on my phone:

-TV Tube Sleep
-AndroiHD Lock Widget

Best of both worlds IMO. The nice lockscreen widget with iOS stability awesomeness.

Don't live wallpapers eat up battery usage?

If you sit there and stare at the wallpaper for a long time, they could. Otherwise, no. You can probably count most people's total daily homescreen viewing in just minutes. On, swipe to screen, pick app, done. Think of how long you really look at the iPhone homescreens.

Likewise, don't the visual effects moving between screens on most smartphones eat up extra battery? Sure, but they're worth it for the fun and visual feedback.
