As for the hotmail thing you can setup pop3 for hotmail. Just google 'pop3 hotmail setup' you'll find several guides with the settings.

the solution you are looking for is 'social engineering'. google it if it seems unfamiliar.
it should be obvious to anyone with the slightest amount of actual information instead of 'lulz, hack the network' that your ipod broadcasts a hardcoded id# that you can be personally identified with even if you do manage to get to the network and are considered unauthorized. yes, it is possible to spoof things like mac's, and other id#'s.

Why would you guys want to crack a school wifi? Don't they track the browsing history? Or is it just for staffs? My school has a wifi and you have to login with your school account There are wep key generators though.

Definatley not a good idea. almost got suspended for it, plus, there's always the web filter programs. Even if you managed to get it, it wouldn't do much.
In my experience this is because some schools have a small portal program that authenticates you as an authorized user. If not authorized you can do nothing with the exception of having bragging rights for figuring out the Wi-Fi's password.
Coming from somebody who use to try to get around the schools block on their network (term filters, and usually pretty successful at this), if they have blocked it, you probably shouldn't be doing that in class anyway. Except for the few occasions that whatever research you're trying to do for a paper is being blocked by those filters.
Yes it's possible. If your Ipod is jailbroken. Go to Cydia. Look up Wififofum install it and confirm it. Go to installous and look up WEPGen. Install it. When you go to Cydia it will show you all the wifi connections locked or unlocked click on whichever one you want. Copy down the numbers at the top when you click on the wifi network. Then you would go to WEPGen. Enter those numbers. It will show you codes and you need to enter any one of the codes when you go to Settings and Wifi Connection.
We just guessed ours in school. It took less than a full lunch time. I can't even remember what it was now but it was something really obvious. They then changed it and we just kept getting somebody who was in some club that used the WiFi to tell us it.
