To those who prefer to go bareback. Keep in mind that that case is aluminum and will dent easily if dropped. The screen is made of glass is by no means scratch proof and it would be wise to use a screen protector. Food for thought.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree completely. I think the glass is the most scratch resistant piece of this phone. The only point I can see to the new invisible shield I put on my iphone screen is that it makes smudges less of a nuisance. However, it does give this glare now that makes it obvious the glass has plastic film on it. Which kind of bugs me. and I'm also worried about the corners peeling, as another poster said. I have a feeling I'll be back to completely naked in a matter of days. We'll see though.

Dropping, as I've proved to myself, certainly does dent the case. And I think the pressures I've put on it in my pocket have made the case fit odd. The seams don't line up so well anymore. but oh well, it's just a phone. I've never had a phone that lasted this long, so I guess I'm on a record here.

My greatest fear about damage to the glass is me dropping it in just the right way to crack the screen. Scratches seem nearly impossible to me, unless you carry diamonds in your pocket.

I only have a screen protector on mine and so that rain drops don't mess if with the capacitance as well to provide protection from scratches and also make it easily wipe-able. Otherwise i have no other protection...no case...clips....just running naked since day one and have no scratches or dents. Only the chrome is scuffed a tiny bit and i'm also considering the brush metal idea

I use a DLO jam jacket for my iPhone most times, but usually ill take it off when im home.

Keep in mind the only places i've dropped my phone (nothing major, few feet on a carpet surface) is at my house.

I got the cozip snap on case in silver from Amazon for 13 bucks and I love it. It has some grip to it, is super thin, matches the color of the aluminum back really well and shows off the chrome bezel without scratching it. I used to have the anti-glare film on the screen but really love the smooth glass and don't mind wiping off smudges.

I might try the BSE but love the feel of the cozip without all the effort.

It even has a little circle cutout for the apple logo.

sorry to burst your bubble, but I had that case from amazon and it scratched the hell out of my phone. The chrome bezel had horizontal scratches all the was up both sides and the metal backing got strange black dots all over the back. The dots have faded but only a little. Ive done everything to try to clean them off, even used a mr clean mage eraser. No luck.
I thought I had found the best iPhone case ever, I loved it but unfortunately it jacked it all up. That's the reason I did the brushed metal look in the first place.

Maybe youll have better luck.

I haven't used a case since the day I bought my iPhone (July 1). Yes, I've dropped it. Yes, it has dents and scratches.

But it's just a phone. Being paranoid about it ruins the fun of owning one.
