So...... uTorrent is better than transmission?

I know this is a completely crazy idea, but have you ever thought of trying both of them and making up your OWN mind?

....so it's worth the wait then? and if there is a Windows version, will the MS come out first than the OSX??

No right now its not ready for prime time as they say. For their release scheduling I have not got a clue what they plan to do with it.

Found a forum note from one of the developers of utorrent (at least I'm assuming he's one of the developers...he's at least one of the moderators at uttorents offical forum) to where he states that they may cancel the project if people keep bugging them about it.

From DreadWingKnight over there: "And if people keep pestering us about an OSX version, we may drop the project permanently."

Not sure if this guy has any power or not...but one thing is certain, he sounds like a total tool.

If that's they're attitude they can stick it anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I use uTorrent (Windows) happily and wouldn't use anything else. Statements like this are just pure childishness on their part.

Why the hell would any sane minded person threaten to drop a project that presumably a lot of time/work has gone in to just because people cannot wait for you to release it??

this is pretty cool I would much rather torrent on a lean windows file server then a mac. I just use the webui and smb share, so my windows seebox grabs files that I upload from a directory.

I can see why they called it an alpha, it's very buggy and crashes a lot. Transmission for me!

over at the utorrent website, it now says the mac client is "coming soon"

I personally cant wait, Transmission works well when it does work, but still has many bugs, and no DHT....
