Fantastic, thanks for the photos! This just makes my wait even more painful now lol
No thank you for bearing with me lol..
I'd love it if you'd post your impressions and some photos when you get yours, if you're up for it.
Thanks for the photos, Nice pics!! I would suggest in investing in your own digital camera though, you can get a pretty nice one reasonable now.
Lol, I have been planning to take photography on as a hobby and I've been eyeing the Canon G11.
Anyways, if you notice I've got a full body skin on (Wrapsol to be specific) and the case fits fine with no problem. I am keeping a look out for weather the inside colour rubs onto the skin but so far nothing. I should mention that with my iPhone 3G case, I had no discoloring problems so I don't expect any with this case.
G11 is a nice camera. I just have a Panasonic ZS3 right now and it takes excellent pics. Jerry
That's a great one too, I think CNET have it as one of their top ten. Appreciate the suggestion, thanks dude.
What do you think about the case with the phone in it?
Looks like it fits quite smartly in the case. Does it close really well? Is the joint not too flimsy? I bought the SGP Vintage and the joint was too flimsy for my likiing.
It looks great.
I like carry my iPhone around naked in a holster. The Top case with the flap is not for me. I ordered the Grip today. It suits my needs better than the Top. It's going to be a long 45 day wait.
It closes great actually, not flimsy at all with the inside the perfect cushion.
(I take it you're referring to the top part of the flap that latches on to the phone).
I'm looking forward to the pics although I think the magnets are a no no for me as I own a few automatic watches and movements are easy to magnetize, therefore causing them to lose or gain time. But I've been wanting to see real life pics of the iMagnum, the Piel Frama website makes the cases look cartoonish. Not to drive any of you crazy but I received my Piel Frama iMagnum case today and it is GORGEOUS. The leather is padded so it feels delicious in the hand -- it's softer than the Vaja that way. Because it is more padded it feels like it would provide better drop protection too. Fit and finish is divine and the belt clip is bomber.
But here's the kicker -- the flap flips up rather than down. As a result, when you are on the phone the flap just rests over your hand, out of the way -- no dangling flap in front of your face, no need to fold it back and hold both the flap and the phone. It is much much more convenient, I think -- takes away my primary complaint about phones with flaps.
Will take some photos tomorrow and post them in a separate thread so as not to hijack this one. But having owned two Vaja Top cases I'm preferring this Piel Frama! It should be on your consideration list if you are in the market for this kind of case. And get this -- order from Spain and you'll have it in twenty days. Or you can order it like I did from cases.com and you can have it overnight! Cases.com even sells it for less than going direct to Piel Frama.
Anyway I am VERY happy with it!
No thank you for bearing with me lol..
I'd love it if you'd post your impressions and some photos when you get yours, if you're up for it.
I had in mind that you were interested in the Grip and tried to take some pictures with the flap off so that you can kinda imagine what your case will look like, hope it helps and if you want more let me know.
The iPhone 4 just got released on the Online store about 30 mins ago here in Singapore. Estimated 3 weeks to deliver. Should be just nice timing with the Baja caseGood thing I ordered mine 2 weeks ago.
Thanks. It's really hard to tell what a Grip would look like from your pics. More pics would be great. What kind of impressions or visualizations can you give me about the Top case without the flap?
Oh, by the way, I emailed Vaja custoner service about the little black leather piece around the camera cut-out area that is shown in the pics on Vaja's website. Cecilia got back to me and said that it will be on the Grip case that I ordered (black floater with rosso red inside). It certainly adds a nice touch. I would contact them if I were you. Yours is missing.
Sure no problem, I'll post some more pics later on, any specific requests and thanks for the heads up, I'll email them today?
One impression that I think is worth knowing is that the everything with this new case is squarish, as opposed to curved like previous 3G/S cases. This is due to the iphone 4 design itself (mainly the antenna) and as a result, the case fits much better than previous cases by "gripping" the antenna.
For the Grip this means that the fit will be better than ever and if you look at the photos you'll notice how the sides latch onto the phone.
I'll be honest, with my 3G I was skeptical of the Grip case but with this new body I've decided to go for it for the same reasons you mentioned earlier.
Thank you for the pictures!
One last angle request;
Do you have anyone willing to allow you to take a picture of them holding the phone during a mock phone call? So we can see what the phone looks like when youre trying to make a call (flap hanging below, mostly. I can assume from the already provided pictures what it would look like flap folded back).
Thanks! Regardless, if you cant provide that picture, thanks a lot for the pictures already provided. Great thread.
When you see that picture I think that might be a deal breaker for many of you. Looks a little silly but more to the point it is a damn nuisance. Mind you, I used vaja tops for three years. Got used to it, but never really liked it.
