I love vaja cases - have had quite a few for ipods/iphones going back to the first ipod cases they made.

They are expensive yes and they add a bit of bulk but they are so well made and are desirable in themselves rather than covering up something that looks good they add something.

I got went for the ivolution top SP last time - nice case in multiple colours but the flap did annoy me after a while so I was always switching the case off for a while until I didnt mind going with the flap again.

This time I am going to wait on the grip case I think.

I used a Vaja case for my 3G and I loved it except for the bleeding of colors. Mine was nautical blue with a white stripe. The smooth leather does show wear, but it actually gave the case more character.

I ordered the black floata with the red lining for the iPhone 4 since the floata leather should take the wear better and I didn't want to wait any longer for the smooth leather.

Has anyone else had a problem ordering on Vaja's site? After I go to customize my case and add it to the bag nothing shows up in my cart. I've tried numerous times on my Mac and PC using Firefox/IE/Chrome/Safari and so far nothing. Also, how much does Vaja charge for shipping?

Not sure about the phone cover but an iPad cover is $20. I'm waiting on a few more case designs to become available before placing an order. There website has definite issues but I have noticed that it works better on some computers over others and sometimes loads with an error and the next it is perfect on the same PC.

I have a dilemma , I want and am willing to pay for a Vaja case because the iPhone 4 is a phone I want to take out of a flap-style case to use rather than cover it in a full-body case or use a sleeve with less functionality than the flap-style case. The 45 day handicraft process is the main reason I wouldn't buy a Vaja case right now. I wouldn't receive the case for another two months while I would like a case for this weekend. If I ordered from Vaja I would have to spend another $30-$40 for another case while I wait for my $100 (including shipping) Vaja case.

Vaja cases will always take about 45 days if you customize one. I bought a Griffin Reveal to use for now and will sell it when my Vaja case comes in.

I'll wait a week for coupons and more cases to be released, then I'll be joining the Vaja waiting community :). Is there any chance that Vaja could make a case a week ormtwo early, or do they very strictly try to spread out each case's manufacturing over 45 days?

Looks nice, but I wonder how they solved the camera flash issue. From reading several threads on IP4 cases, it seems that if it is a cutout ...it needs to be large, or be recessed just right.

I ordered iVolution Top for the iPhone 4 a couple of days back. The iPhone 4 is yet to be released here. I'm just getting prepared  It's predicted to be released here(Singapore) around late July/early August though.

This is gonna be my first Vaja case so I'm a lil excited really. I bought the black/red combo. Always wanted the limited edition 3GS case but I didn't realize at that time they shipped to Singapore too.

Anyway, any idea how long will Fedex International Air Express take to deliver it from Argentina to Singapore? 45 days is already a long time.

I love the Vaja cases, but this one doesn't offer a lot of protection to the top of the phone. I had the similar Sena flip-down case for the 2G. The top corners of the phone were dented up enough that I can't trust myself enough not to eventually drop the phone and shatter the front glass.

Just an FYI - I contacted them asking if they were considering making a pouch for the iPhone 4 that would be compatible with the Apple bumper. Unfortunately they said they don't have plans to do so. Bummer.

The pouches for the iPhone 3G/3GS would probably work decently since the iPhone 4 is 24% thinner and narrower so with the bumper on it wouldn't be a huge difference, especially if you give the leather a few weeks to naturally conform to the iPhone 4 with a bumper.

When I ordered my case for the original iphone it shipped more than a week early (wait time was 30 days), but it got held up in customs for almost a week so the total wait from order to receipt was 30 days.

Ouch, the cases are expensive enough. I was ready to bite on one of the leather pouches. But they charge $20 for shipping...come on now.

I have had about 5 of these cases in the past.

They are well made and durable.
I have ordered some custom ones but found the colors to be off a bit and the softleater wears a bit.

I have since kept to the limmited black/red combo's and they have held up awsoeme.

Any how i think they are worth the money. But i find a hard time justifying the wait. which is why i order the premade limmited editions.

Still waiting and hoping they come out with premades soon. I woudl like to order as well.

The fact that the price is so high and the wait time is so long always supprises me that people keep buying from them...

just my 2cents.

That is a good call. Maybe someone reading this thread can confirm that an iPhone 4 with an Apple bumper will fit into the 3gs pouch.

I've had three of the ivolution top cases, one for each of my prior iPhones. Quality is top notch but the order process and wait time is not. My best transaction was when I purchased one from someone who had it for a week or so and sent it to me priority mail.

Having to wait 45 days is absurd. Unless they are slaughtering an animal per case it is impossible that it should take so long. Maybe they are all part timers or something.

Also I had a case delayed for three weeks in customs. Apparently Argentina is fussy and holds manufacturers to a specific volume quota which if exceeded results in them holding their shipments indefinitely. Lovely when you've ordered something that was already delayed by 45 days!

The cases add considerable bulk to the phone and there is also the issue of top corner protection on this particular phone.

I'd say if you're thinking about vaja just go ahead and order it now. The longer you procrastinate the further out your delivery will be!!!

Just don't hold your breath about receiving it. It takes forever!!!

has anyone actually received their vaja cases yet?

cause i plan to order one and have it shipped to my cousins place in the us. and have him bring it here when he visits. however, he leave end of july, would there be enough time?

I'd give an iPhone 4 Vaja case two months to arrive after an order is placed.

I'd really like an ivolution SP, but it still isn't available. A working coupon, which Vaja usually always has, would help me justify spending $105 on a phone case. As soon as both of those are available, I'm ordering my black with a gray stripe ivolution SP.

Vaja Warning.......

I wanted to share some experiences I have had with Vaja Corp.

I ordered two custom iPad Cases in late May. Delivery was to have been in 45 days, it was stated on their website and in their order confirmation. The credit card was charged instantly on ordering. At about 35 days after placing the order I contacted their customer service in Argentina inquiring if delivery was still on time. The answer was quite contrite, “Delivery is 45 days from order.” No familiarities, no thank you for your order.

At 47 days and no recipe of goods, I again contacted their customer service. The answer this time was to quote the FAQ section of their website which states in poor English that “delivery time is a guess.”
They concluded this e-mail with, “At present, demand is huge so our production processes are taking a little bit longer than normal.”
They are now saying I MAY have the cases in an additional 20 days!
We leave for three weeks in Europe and will have no Vaja case for the iPads. Buyers should beware of ordering from this company as they want the money quickly but do not deliver on the product.

THere are several recent internet articles about Vaja all saying the same; they have terrible, rude customer service.

There Will Be No Belt Clip Option

For those of you that were wondering about a belt clip option, there won't be one forthcoming. The following is the reply that I got from them after several inquiries (they ignored me for a while until I wrote them a firm email requesting a response):

"At present we only offer cases without clip.
And we are not likely to offer it at least in the near future."

The disappointing bit is the "not likely to offer it at least in the near future."

Oh well, time to start looking for an alternative...

Yes! I have used Vaja cases for each of my iPhones and they have always been top quality.

I have to retreat on my statement in this thread about Vaja's quality. I have a problem with the ivolution top for the ipad; the leather split on one of the corners, and they have refused to honor their warranty saying it cannot be a fault in their material or workmanship, even though examination clearly shows the split to be jagged, following the lines of the embossing in the leather. Other cases I have had from them have been fine, but I think they are now overextended by demand and may be slipping. Beware

No wonder iVolution Top Crystal 2 is asking for the price for it's quality. The front of the case is encrusted with Swarovsky crystals. I bet middle class aged moms would purchase them if they knew about Vaja.

I think they make great products but once you have a problem with them their biggest issue comes to the forefront. The horrible customer service they are known for, its the only thing that keeps me from ordering any more products from them especially at the premium prices they demand.
