RE : Vaja cases delivery

Just incase any of you are thinking of buying a Vaja case.... I ordered a case for my iphone over 5 weeks ago (nearly 6) and despite the fact that yes, it's been christmas etc, etc, I think this is pretty bad especially as I have emailed them on several occasions to find out where it is. Infact, 5 separate emails and not one single solitary response and 2 of these were sent pre-christmas. Does anyone know if they shut down for 6 months of each year!!!!

I am beginning to think that my O2 contract will expire before I ever see this thing. I know they are a small company but that's no excuse for lousy service. I too run a small company and if I say 25 days for delivery I make sure that 25 days is when I deliver. If it's going to exceed this I contact my customer to explain. What I don't do is ignore them and leave them feeling very frustrated!

Mine took 5 weeks to arrive in the UK and that was before we hit Christmas, you'll have to be patient I'm afraid, it's worth it though trust me.

Not so Dockable

I received my dockable case - the one without the flap and find that although it seems to fit into the dock - in fact it only sometimes makes good electrical contact - a similar issue when I just use the plug - not dock.

I have written to VAJA to see if it can be resolved - we will see.

That sounds like a manufacturing problem, as on mine (flip version) I've not had any problem with it fitting the dock.

I just checked out the website. Those cases are incredible! There's no doubt you get what you pay for. But there is no way I would shell out that kind of cash for a case. It's more than half the price of the phone! If you can afford $280 for a case, then you can afford to use your iPhone naked and replace it when it gets dinged up. Or replace it every year with every hardware revision.

Here's the reply I got.

Hi,
We test all our cases before sending them and we make sure they make contact putting them with the pda inside into the dock and checking the connection. So, this problem you are having happens due to the fact that leather is a flexible material and it needs some stretching to fit the pda perfectly and make it sync. Here I send you some tips that will help you:
To insert the case, put the forefinger across the handheld's top and press it all the way down into the case. you can also help it to reach the bottom by pushing firmly from top of the device.
Another tip that will definitely help you is to take a pen cap, and slide its upper part gently along the seams at the sides trying to stretch the leather there. This will be achieved naturally by use, but ifyou want to get the fit improved faster, this will be the solution.
Please repeat this many times if necessary. Remember that you should let some time pass since only time and use will make your pda charge while in the case.
Thank you very much "

I'll give it a try when I get a chance.
