Hi all!
Just updated to Ventura and everything went fine.
One thing I just noticed: usually I change short date format to DD.MM.YY but for some reason I just can’t find the option to apply a custom separator to the short date format. At least it is morning the same screen as in Monterey.
Any help from you guys?

chibante? Are you talking about the date at the far right of the Menu Bar?

I meant change, not chibante. Autocorrect sucks 🙂
No, that is not possible to change, not even on Monterey. I am talking about the setting on Regional setting on Monterey, that applies the setting throughout the system. For example, on excel spreadsheets.

Ok, you mean this, correct?

That’s it.
With Monterey we had the option to use any character. With Ventura, we’re limited to those two options.

I found out if you change the region, the date formatting options change as well. Germany, for example, has the dd.mm.yy format you're looking for:

Not sure if changing the region will have an undesired effect elsewhere, though.

In fact, this is no solution.
I am not living in Germany and I believe that would impact several other options like, for example, the holiday calendar.
I wonder if Apple buried the option anywhere else....

If you are a Keyboard Maestro user you can easily overcome this limitation by using the "Insert Date" action and changing the default formatting to:

%ICUDateTime%MM.dd.yy%

This will yield a date of:

12.02.22

Modify, if you wish, to make it a four-digit date along the lines of:

%ICUDateTime%MM.dd.yyyy%

Which will yield today's date as:

12.02.2022
