its unlimited talk and text. only things added are taxes and those fees. They vary by state. 66 total after taxes in VA

Yes it does.

The plan is no secret they have a giant page about it here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/vzw/landingpages/single-line-data-plan/

But they certainly don't go out of their way to make it easy to sign up for. You have to call.

What did they tell you?

I called Verizon and the agent on the phone said he will be able to give me that $60 unlimited plan upon receiving my iPhone 6 Plus. I told him I didn't want the phone to get activated and Verizon charge me for the $90 plan. He said he would make sure to fix that so I wouldn't be charged and he gave me his name and contact number. He said he would be able to give me the promo even after it expires.
So thank you guys for your help. I realize Verizon is trying to make money but they should've offered this single line plan when preordering the iPhone 6 online. It would certainly help them get more business especially for people who have no preference of carriers.

Did he mention if you need to change it before or after activating the phone?

Now they allow you to do it (preorder + get the $60 plan). They had technical limitations earlier this week.

For me I went to apple store Sunday the genius guy was snobby and told me I'm wrong, verizon doesn't offer such plan since god (aka apple.com) only offers more everything plan

On my way back stopped at verizon store and I preordered and got my $60 plan. Only catch is October 14th delivery but worth it

best plan and vale in wireless! Hands down! 2 GB verizon lte for $60, $38 if you take out subsidy. I am leaving straight talk for that plan, it's that good! And it's on freakin verizon, and did I say lte?

Verizon has had a plan with the same terms as this for existing customers called the Loyalty Plan. They will offer it to existing customers who are adding a smartphone for the first time and they will also offer it in a attempt to retain customers who are considering leaving. Neither the Loyalty Plan or the Single line plan include hotspot use and you have to go into My Verizon to set up alerts when you get close to your data limits so you have a warning before you go over. The More Everything plan sends the warning message automatically, you don't have to enable it yourself and it also includes hotspot use.

Wow, how convenient for Verizon to have issues offering that particular plan on the preorder launch. :D. Yep, you're right, I just tried it and now the $60 single-line plan is being offered. I've stayed away from Verizon for years because their plans and prices have been tailored more for the business customer. This year their plans seem to be more inline with the other carriers. Even with the $60 plan they are showing it in smaller print with the More Everything plans taking center stage. They stand to grab a lot of new activations if they offer the $60 single-line plan as the main attraction.

Will be changing my plan over to this tomorrow, when I activate my Plus! I wish it was 3GB of data, but honestly this is the best single line plan of all the main carriers surprisingly...

T-mobile has an identical plan for $45. As a matter of fact, they have a 3 GB plan like this that is the same price as verizon's ($60), so it's everything you wished for lol

I'm gonna end up switching over to this tomorrow myself. I pay ~$150/month for 1 line, unlimited talk/text and 6GB of Data. Yeah, it's some really old plan that I've just never bothered switching. I can switch to this plan, go over 4gb each month to make up 6gb and STILL save $30 a month.

Verizon Chat

Been lurking for awhile but wanted to share some info regarding the Single Line promo. Just spoke with "Alexia" and here was our conversation:

Jason : Good morning. I'm currently on the Nationwide Talk 450 plan. If I moved to the Single Line Plan that's advertised at $60, is it any cheaper if I have an off-contract phone?
Alexia: It would be the same $60 for the single line plan if you were not in
contract
Jason : Thank you. When does this offer expire?
Alexia: At this time there is no set date , but price and promotions end daily !
Jason : Last question. If I were to stay with my current Nationwide Talk 450 plan, would the rates go down
now that my two year contract is up and I no longer pay a subsidy for the phone I purchased two years ago?
Alexia: Your plan would remain the same .
Jason : Ok, so Verizon would continue to bill me the same amount despite that the subsidy for the phone has
been paid in full?
Alexia: That would be correct !
Jason : Good to know. Thank you for your help.

I'm still trying to decide between the promo for $60 or bumping my Nationwide Talk to 5GB for $87 (employee discount). The $38 mentioned in the above post was appealing....almost enough to stay with the 5, but this rep didn't want to offer that to me.

The numbers look comparable but are both plus phone or phone included or is the TMO without phone and VZW with phone?

The charge the smartphone line fee. Actually my plan was $50 while configuring my plan (not sure why) and I thought that was the total until I got to the final screen. Showed an additional $40 for the line fee. My plan is $90/month Unlimited Talk/Text 2GB data (really 3GB due to bonus 1GB for 24 months).

You are flat out wrong. They charge the extra fee on the More Everything plans, not on this unique individual plan.

It's $60 plus tax no matter if you take the subsidy or bring your own phone.

But with T-Mobile it will come out to $75 a month with the phone installment.

The $38 mentioned above is not really available, the poster was mentally subtracting the phone subsidy from the $60 you pay.

You're (in his head) paying $38 for the service and $22 for the phone each month, since Verizon subsidizes the cost of the phone.

Once your two year contact is up, however, the price does not go down. It stays at $60. There is no $38 plan.

But if you upgrade every two years, it's not a bad deal. Verizon doesn't lower the price because they want you to get a new device and lock in to another contract. Lowering the price would encourage more people to go off-contract.

Excuse me sir, do not address me saying "You are flat wrong". I was only going by what I saw when I configured my plan. All they showed were the My Everything Plans. I didn't even know those were for shared lines. The $60 single-line plan WAS NOT AVAILABLE at the preorder launch. This is my first time with Verizon. It's already been said here that Verizon mentioned they were having problems with the plans and they could not post $60 plan at the time of the preorder launch. Multiple people here never saw anything but the My Everything Plans and were also wondering why Verizon was charging the extra line fee.

If you use the Edge program, the single line plan is $50 per month.

Verizon 2GB Single Line Promo?

If you go the 60/mo route and do a contract, it's about 1640 before any taxes over 24 months.(assuming you get iPhone 6 16gb at 199.99). That includes phone price.

If you do edge over 20 months it's $1650 before taxes. 50+32.49(edge price)

It's really if you want to spend money up front or not. The only taxes you see on your bill are for the 50 or 60 a month. Varies by state.

the loyalty plan is available to pretty much anyone who asks for it. when i started my account in may, i just called them up and asked to be place on the plan, and that was that. the biggest difference between the loyalty plan and the normal single line plan is the overage fee. for the loyalty plan, it's $10 for each additional gig, opposed to $15 for the regular plan. it's something to consider for those thinking of switching.

I never knew that. Thanks!

I don't get why you didn't compare apples to apples here. You forgot to factor in 4 months of service if you use edge.

Subsidy Contract 24 months of service is $60x24+$200= $1640

Full Price Phone on edge payments or outright with 24 months of service = $50x24+$650= $1850.

Meant to do that. Sorry for misleading
