This is my reservation and I will be picking it up at 3 pm. I used the link above which appears to be for the IUP, and will be paying outright for this model. I'm currently on AT&T but am switching over to Verizon.

I ordered a 7+ RG 128, and 7+ MB 128 on 9/9 @ 9am. Email link still shows 9/28 expected ship date. No movement yet.

I saw that. But I THINK that it's only for the two year contract. If they can do the Verizon DPP that might be good.

But I know if you do IUP, you can go to any carrier you want because the phone is not financed by a carrier.

It's not like lump sum they pay it over 24 months and you have to do the device payment plan

You should be able to sign up for verizon device payment plan at the apple store once your upgrade is cancelled. (I signed up for my 6s+ at the apple store under verizon device payment and no credit check was done since I was already a Verizon customer). What I'm not sure about is if its something that happens instant or takes a few hours. I would check with Verizon. I would go ahead and reserve if it's still available and then check with Verizon on canceling/reversing the upgrade.

I currently have a 256 JB + on order from Verizon, but just reserved a 256 MB + at the Apple store. I'm probably paying full price for the phone at this time. My JB is set to arrive on 9/28 (if that happens, saw someones got backordered from 9/28 to November...). If the JB actually comes in, great, I can just return the MB since I'll be within 14 days. If not, I will be cancelling the JB and keeping my 2nd choice which is the MB.

It's a shame we have to resort to things like this because of a botched launch like this one has been. Good luck to everyone!

Thats the thing i got 9/28 for my JB and thats what i really want... its only about 9 days out now worst case scenario so im not sure if going through all that to get the phone 9> days earlier is worth it... i have multiple kids in football today so its a very busy day for me

If i knew for sure Verizon would be delivering on that 9/28 date, I'd probably hold out too, but I saw on this thread yesterday someone on a business account who ordered earlier than me had a 9/28 date, but got backordered to November. I'm definitely not waiting til November and would settle for the MB. Maybe he was trolling because it was the only one I saw, but you never know.

Also, there is not one Apple store nation wide that has any jet black phone on any carrier, so I would be thinking Apple would have stock for themselves before any carrier would.

So my mom texted me last night saying my phone shipped and gave me a tracking #! I ordered the 128GB Matte Black within the first hour preorders went live on the East coast.

However the tracking number brings me to a shipping service I havnt heard of when I google it, and I dont see the charge on my card. A little confused now, starting to think my mom mistook it for something else?

Yes, I did for my 6s+. They just don't offer it online for some reason.
