Mine updated last night with Verizon. Hold tight for a few more days, it should hopefully change for you!

Did the date itself actually change? Did you call Verizon or did it just happen without you having to do anything?

oh snap.....I upgrade date has been moved up

Just got my upgrade moved to today. I didnt have to threaten them or anything. But the lady did confirm that the system will allow you to upgrade your phone up to 7 days before your upgrade date and that verizon would let you preorder as long as the 7 days are during the preorder prior. That is from my understanding, I could be wrong. She updated my upgrade date for reassurance. I'm Hyped!

This has never happened before. I wonder if pre-order might be earlier?

either way, I am stoked...

Over the weekend, I noticed that mine was changed from the 8th to the 4th, and I did nothing. As I said earlier, I imagine VZW is automatically changing close ones to maximize he number of customers who can purchase an upgrade.

Mine hasn't changed - still the 21st. We'll see what happens after the keynote.

I'm in the same boat and hadn't even considered this.

Any previous VZW upgraders have experience with this?

Same boat here...I talked to Verizon and my 2yr contract is up on the 20th but I am already eligible for an upgrade. So from what they told me the upgrade date and contract date is not the same

good luck,my moms phone was stolen and she had two weeks left on her contract which she was trying to save for the iphone 6,anyway they didn't even want to bump her contract even tho the date was so close, mind you her story is a bit different compared to people who just want an early upgrade,it's a hit an miss, thank god my upgrade is ready tho

I just logged in and Vz says that I am eligible for an upgrade as of now. I did not check earlier, so I cannot comment on whether they changed it. My purchase date was on the original launch date of the 5.

Pretty sure if you preorder through Apple you can just wait until the 18th to activate. Best bet is to call.

That's true. If it does get released on the 19th....it's gonna be busy day! I have to pick up my visiting sister that morning....lol. I think I will pre order and have it delivered to the store and pick it up later that day

I'm guessing she chose not to insure it, does not have home owners insurance and/or didn't use a major credit card with lost/stolen purchase protection?

Ouch.

My upgrade date also changed over the weekend from the 27th to an upgrade now status. Guess I'll have my iPhone 6 earlier than planned! :)

I have two iPhones on my contract which were both bought (from Apple) and activated at the same time. However, one phone states it is upgradeable now and the contract is month to month. The other phone says the upgrade and contract end date are the end of November.

Why are they different?

Just checked My Verizon again and I'm now eligible for an upgrade. Apple.com shows I am eligible now as well. This just changed sometime this evening, as I checked this morning and it still said the 21st. Good to go!

actually the girl who stole it admitted to the da she stole the items just waiting for my mom to get her stuff back now.but she used her upgrde on a s5 but with the s5 and 5s back she can make back the money to buy a 6

VZW has done this for me in the past as well. They just wanna lock you up again like the OP said. What difference does a week or ten days make to them?

If you do the upgrade with Apple it will let you do it in the same calendar month. Doing it through Verizon makes you wait until the exact day. This was my experience when I upgraded to the iPhone 5 at launch anyway.

How do you upgrade with Apple if you are a VZN customer??
