Hey, I was able to get the ESIM to work, but I have a question setting it up?It told me it was no longer valid until I had them manually change the IMEI number in their system...then a couple minutes later I scanned it and it worked, if just scan it without them changing it...it says no longer valid

All, I got this to work via VZW Chat.
1. Ensure your phone is within good Wifi range.
2. Physically remove the SIM from your Verizon phone. I had to do this, otherwise the IMEI kept returning to IMEI1.
3. Open a chat with VZW, ask to "Force change the IMEI" for your line.
4. Provide IMEI2 (listed under "Secondary", in Settings > General > About).
5. When the rep says to reboot, don't reboot, but open Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan.
6. Scan the QR code attached to this post.
6a. If you get the "Cellular Plan Cannot be Added" error, try again in 1 minute. If you keep getting the error, ask the rep to confirm the IMEI change is complete. Again, your physical SIM Card MUST BE OUT OF YOUR DEVICE, otherwise, the IMEI will return to IMEI1 within Verizon's system... ask me how I know this
7. The eSIM will activate. For me, this took about 2 minutes.
8. Once activated, it took another 3-4 minutes before LTE signal came in... it sat between "No Service" and "Searching" for a few minutes. Honestly, I hope this improves, because I was somewhat nervous if it was actually working.
9. I confirmed a test call to #832 worked, then thanked the rep for their time.
YMMV... but, enjoy eSIM if you're able to get it working like I did!
Yes, the screenshot was taken after...
It likely says secondary because I had an eSIM for GigSky before, which was the secondary SIM (albeit, it was named "GigSky").
Confirmed, I just popped in an unactivated T-Mobile SIM, and it allowed me to change "Secondary" to whatever i'd like.
Aside from having a second line, are there other benefits to using esim?
Is anyone having issues simply scanning the QR code? As soon as the camera sees black and white it captures the image whether it is on the code or not; unlike most of the time where it will register the code and then focus in before capturing.
I’m a current Verizon subscriber. If i wanted to move my Verizon service to the eSIM and leave a Google Fi SIM in the slot, would it be possible to use the Verizon one for daily use, then simply switch to the Fi SIM for travel?

I tried setting this up before you put this guide up...and my sim was in my phone. Now I am getting no service without sim card in, and no LTE with sim card in. Help?
maybe try deleting the esim and rescan the qr code? also make sure the imei is correct on your verizon account page
