Wow. Att is raising prices on grandfathered customers or bundling their tv service and Verizon is finally opening up unlimited. This could make me jump ship. T-Mobile and sprint are unusable but Verizon isn't.

Just had to double check the calendar to make sure it's not April Fool's Day.

At first I thought it meant it was $80 for unlimited data, but then saw it includes talk and text as well. So by my understanding, for me being on a solo plan I could get unlimited talk text and data for JUST $80 a month? That hardly seems true. What's the catch?
Taxes fees and you'll be reduced to 3G speeds after 25GB

I'm on a 7gb line on an iPhone and I pay $20 for it, I think they don't tell you that up front

just chatted with an online AT&T rep and got the following vague answer: The promotion will be sent to your email and will also been seen on the website. The current unlimited plan is the only available at this time.

so basically, who knows if there is an upcoming promotion...

So, what would 2 lines cost? I want one for both me and the better half, but I don't need four lines.

Go figure, I just dumped my classic grandfathered ATT unlimited plan this past Monday since that was going up - again - in March, dropped it to a 3GB plan. Looking at my 12 month graph of Data use, it should actually be more than enough (Exception of this past Nov, when I lost power in my home for 5 days...that data went through the roof)

I'll see how this goes...maybe it is time to switch!

The video or article didn't mention that. Where did you get your information? I have to pay a line access charge with my single line plan right now ($20.00).

It's $80 + tax, that includes the line access fee from my understanding and information on other forums.

Wow. Lifelong AT&T customer, but I'll switch for this. AT&T better match or this is going to cause a lot of switchers.

I think they don't tell you the access fee up front because not everybody that have data plan is charge for it except everyone.. they're confusing like that...

That's still not unlimited... Just like in Japan, once you hit 7GB of 4G in a month (or 10 in the USA) your phone's data slows waaaaay down to the point of being useless. And then they charge ridiculous costs for an extra gig or two.
Verizon says they slow you down after 22gb and if you're tethering you have 10gb to use before that's slowed down. I find that pretty reasonable

Still happily beating up VZW's network on legacy UL data plans since 2011!
Same here! I've been on UDP since 2011 but stuck at 450minutes. With tethering I'm paying double so I will be at Verizon store tomorrow getting all of the facts
