Assuming there's a phone I want, I'll be buying one in December, just like always. VZW will give me whatever they'll give me for my X, and it'll be done.

Or I might just do a battery in my X this December and wait another year.

If I had the 11 Pro Max, I more than likely would’ve kept it for another year, but the Intel modem in this XS Max is trash, and the battery life sucks.

Can anyone that is a long time Verizon customer help me with some knowledge? We are looking to add 1-2 new lines, move from shared data to unlimited plans, but want to use the new phones with our 2 current numbers.

But what is the easiest way to put our old numbers on the new phones while getting new numbers for our old phones? Do we order the new phones with new numbers and then "swap" the numbers with Verizon once the new phones are in hand?

I'm assuming it would be easiest to upgrade my data package a day or two before the pre-orders. Normally we just turn in our old phones toward a discount on a new phone but we have family that want to join our plan and would like our old phones this time around.

I’m not a long time Verizon customer but I switched to Verizon from T-Mobile almost 2 months ago. When I picked up my Verizon device, I used the number I chose with Verizon for 2 days. I then called customer service since I wanted to port in my old number before the 7 days was up since I opened a new account with Verizon. The process took about 15 minutes and within 2 hours I was using the old number on Verizon. I had to give Verizon my pin code and account number from T-Mobile.

I’ve now realized how much money I was wasting upgrading with T-Mobile. I was with them for 10 years so I thought I wouldn’t have to put down such a large Downpayment. For the X I had to put down $750 and ended up paying it off 3 months later. With Verizon I wouldn’t have to put anything down but my device payments would’ve been larger.

I remember you from the T-Mobile 7 Plus thread. I switched to VZW when the iPhone X came out. T-Mobile wanted $500 down. VZW wanted $60 lol.

This will be a huge upgrade for you! Have u decided on the colors? silver or blue?

I’m going with Silver. I don’t like the shade of blue that’s going around now. 19 months is the longest I’ve ever kept an iPhone so this definitely will be a big upgrade for me. I need that Qualcomm modem back in my iPhone.

I remember you as well from the 7 Plus T-Mobile thread. T-Mobile charged too much for their down payments. For the 11 Pro Max they wanted $450 down so I said I would sit out upgrading and wait for the 12 Pro Max. I switched to Verizon back in August this year and immediately noticed a big difference in coverage. I’m mad I didn’t switch sooner.

I’ve never been without service. Little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Just hoping this 12 Pro Max is good. I thing wrong with my XS Max but I’m itching for an upgrade

<shrug> More irrelevant camera features, 5G that doesn't matter yet... forced into iOS 14... unless there's some wonderfully spiffy feature that's still a secret, it's hard to get excited about it.

People have forgotten that Apple bought Intel's modem IP so that they could tell Qualcomm to take a flying leap. It's gonna happen, get used to it. The only question is when.

The XS Max in my area was horrible. I deliver mail so some neighborhoods my service would drop to 1 bar or the No Service would pop up. It happened more so in buildings and bad neighborhoods. I don’t mind paying extra for better service. I’ve had every major carrier except AT&T.

Other than the "rumoured" flat edges, I feel the same.

I plan on getting a blue 12 Pro Max 128GB directly from Verizon. I've gone with the 256GB option since the X but 128GB should get me through the next year. I wanted to order a SIM free through Apple to avoid the upgrade fee Verizon charges but I have $65 in device dollars that I want to use.

Thank you for creating this thread! Very excited as always!

I can’t wait to start accumulating device dollars for the next device I upgrade. After looking through my Apple count I realized I have $50 I can put towards my 12 Pro Max. I have the XS Max in 256GB and only used 67.2GB. I’ll be buying the 256GB version in case I shoot more videos this year that’ll take up a lot of space. I’ll just continue adding $25 to my account until I reach the amount for a year of payments for my iCloud account.

It's a nice perk of being with Verizon. From reading your other posts it sounds like you are really enjoying Verizon after switching from T-Mobile which is good to hear. I've been with them since March 2017 and haven't had any issues with them since.

I currently have an 11 Pro Max with 256GB and I'm currently using 91GB. Around half of that is pictures and videos as I like to store the full resolution versions on my phone even though all my pictures and videos get backed up to iCloud. I definitely won't fill up all 128GB in the next year.

Yes it’s like night and day compared to T-Mobile. I still use T-Mobile Tuesday with my daughter’s account. I love Verizon and only paying a few dollars more than T-Mobile. I also get a discount on accessories through my job.

I’ve always wanted a HomePod but they are too expensive for me so I settled on Amazon devices to work with my Ring camera and security system.
