Carrier Verizon iPhone 12/12 Pro/Max/Mini Pre-Order/Order Status/ Delivery Thread (2020)

Still preparing here too. Hopefully by tomorrow it ships
No movement on mine either. I posted earlier that mine shipped but I now realize that the item I have tracking information on is for my case not my phone. Oh well, the phone will be here Friday and I am happy that I will have my case in hand when it arrives.
I placed 1 order with 2 phones. I now have two tracking numbers because the phones are coming from different distribution centers. If you ordered two identical phones, they may be coming from the same place in one box.
Should I be worried that my phone hasn't shipped yet? (Silver, 128GB, VZW). I'm only nervous because I ordered an Apple Watch last month for launch day delivery and it was held up in customs for six days!

I ordered the same phone. Hasn’t shipped, ETA 10/23 and says preparing.
I pre-ordered the 12 Pro Pacific Blue 512gb first thing on 10/16. My Verizon account still shows "preparing" but late yesterday I received an email from Fedex saying a shipment from Verizon is on the way and scheduled to deliver tomorrow (10/21). At first I thought it was the case I ordered over the weekend, but after getting another Fedex email and checking my Verizon account I see a totally different tracking number for the case (which is supposed to arrive today).
So I think there is a glitch with the Verizon order statuses not updating even though they have shipped. I worked for Verizon for almost 5 years so this doesn't surprise me at all lol. Hoping this means my phone will arrive tomorrow! Time to wait and see...

10/23 estimated delivery but still preparing to ship. 😭
Last night I went into the vzw app and it wasn't showing at all on the main screen - no evidence of any preorder. I nearly had a panic attack! But...finally navigated into some corner of the app and found a "recent orders" section that still showed it. This morning it's back on the main screen. But still no change in status.

Verizon’s system is glitching (as usual this time of year). I tried checking my account for some standard information and it couldn’t give it to me.
If you have a tracking number drop it in UPS/FedEx and track from there. Both facilities have instructions not to deliver until launch day. They will update the delivery date and hold the package once they discover it’s the new iPhone. Rarely does one slip through. Occasionally it happens, but count on launch day delivery.
If you haven’t received a shipping notice yet, Verizon normally does 2-day shipping, sometimes overnight. Worry when Thursday comes and there’s still no update. Your phone could be on the UPS plane currently coming in from Alaska to the UPS facility in Louisville or a FedEx plane to Memphis. Apple is bringing in more phones now. Verizon does distribution from that general area as well.

My Silver iPhone 12 Pro 256gb shipped this morning (ordered at 8:30 on pre-order day). I’m a new Verizon customer switching from Sprint.

Yes, that’s normally the case. Which is why I said, it “could”. It’s not hard to clear customs when done right. However, most likely this is Verizon being Verizon with their system that has needed updating for years. I wouldn’t worry regardless unless I didn’t have an update by Wednesday evening/Thursday morning.
My phone is still showing as an orgin scan in Fresno California as of 5am yesterday, I am in maryland, hoping it comes soon ):
FYI if your Verizon account hasn't updated, chat up an agent and they will give you an update. The agent I chatted with provided me with a UPS tracking number and advised Verizon's online updates are delayed. I was very happy to see my phone in transit. iPhone12 pro Gold 128g
I think my Pacific Blue 256gb shipped. There is a tracking number showing up in the UPS app on my phone but no details yet. Breaking down the code, I think its a 2-day air package but I dont know if its from Verizon yet.

I received notification this morning that both of my 12 Pro 256GB have shipped and will be here on Friday. They are shipping together from PA. Very excited for Friday!
I'm expecting the same. Hoping they get them out the gate a few days earlier than that. I ordered before realizing I had plans to hide in the woods for Halloween. Need to get it by the 29th ha ha ha.
Is there a reference number, besides the tracking number, that is located on the side of the tracking details? Like an order number or phone number or something?
There are no details yet. It just randomly showed up in the app. when I try to get details, I get the following:

I ordered a 128GB Graphite Pro on Friday at about 8AM....it shows being prepared and expected delivery of 10/23. I just chatted up an agent and they told me that a tracking number hadn't been generated yet because it was an Iconic order. I'm not 100% sure what that means. I will say this I ordered a gold one for my wife at approximately 7:15AM through the myVerizon app on my phone and I have a UPS tracking number on it and it is moving in the system with a delivery of 10/23. The graphite one was ordered on the verizon website....maybe that is what the Iconic order business refers to.
If you have a 10/23 delivery date from preorder relax you’ll get you phone a big influx of movement will be Wednesday and Thursday for 2 day or overnight shipping. You’re all good
