Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

10/26 is here.

No news about my 16G white iPhone 5 ordered 10/4. Verizon politely reminded me that 10/26 was just an estimate. :p
 
So, I just got off the phone with VZW customer service. Nice lady, but unable to tell me anything about my order. Apparently, these iPhones are being shipped directly to the customer from Apple. So Verizon is unable to tell me if my order is delayed or what. I also checked, and no activity on my credit card as of 4pm today. So, I'm guessing my order is probably delayed. What bothers me is being unable to determine the actual status. Is it delayed a day? a week?! No one knows, and the online status says the same thing it has since I ordered on Oct. 5th...showing a ship date of TODAY. :confused::confused::confused:
 
I ordered a Black 16G on 10/3 at local Verizon store here in Cincinnati and 10/26 was my "expected ship date" was 10/26. About 2hrs ago my status changed to Y"our order has been sent for processing". And no ship date listed now. Just glad to see progress hope it comes next week.

EDIT: soon as i hit send on this post, i received a tracking number, Delivery 10/30.

iphone 5 16bg black, ordered from verizon store, on 10/2, shipped today, and CC was also charged today, with an expected ship date of 10/26 as well. i was getting a little antsy. says its in memphis TN, via fedex

Do you remember what it was prior to "Your order has been sent for processing"?
 
Card was charged today at about 12:30. :) Waiting to receive a tracking number.
Ordered a 16gb black on 10/3 with an expected ship date of today. :)
 
Lady from Verizon this morning said. They got an update that for oct 26th ship dates some may be pushed back to oct 31st. But that you WOULD receive an email... I ordered oct 5th. With oct 26 estimated ship date. I'm seeing people that ordered oct 1st 2nd, 3rd getting shipping info and being charged today. So hopefully by tomorrow for me. Still a couple hours left in the day tho :(
 
Well I ordered black 16gb on 10/5 with delivery on 10/26... No charge on card, no change in status. Spoke with woman at Verizon at 2 pm and she said that if the phone did not ship I would receive an email by 7pm to let me know and an update. Well its 7pm and no email and the phone did not ship... :mad:

Ordered mine on 10/14 with the same 11/2 ship date. No updates or charges or anything yet, just waiting and waiting :p

Ordered mine on 10/14 no updates online and my card hasn't been charged either but Verizon emailed me and assured me that mine would either ship on or before 11/02. Still have my fingers crossed #

Update: Just got off the phone with Verizon. I was passed to a supervisor when I explained that " I have no further information" was not an acceptable answer. They are out of stock again. All sizes and colors... Their expecting there next shipment in on the evening of the 28th. They will start shipping again on the 29th. She confirmed mine would be in that batch... We will see... I will believe it when I see it... Still no email either...

Mine got pushed back as well and I didn't receive any information about it. Had to find out when I went into the store. Not too happy but I'm hoping that I'll get it on the 31st next week like you.
 
I just called them and I was told I would be getting an email with some form of compensation sometime before Monday. I was also told that when I had been charged and received a tracking number I would receive it that day. They are giving the people with 10/26 ship dates same day shipping is what I was told.

Mine shipped today and it's scheduled to deliver on Tuesday. They've been giving 2 business day shipping from what I've seen. But if they're trying to compensate for those who are getting their phones late that's great.
Hope yours ships soon.
 
Alright guys, looks like I won't be getting my iPhone 5 before my trip to see my sister... A little pissed at Apple/Verizon. This is ridiculous. My family believes that all of the hold up has been caused by 1. Of course the popular demand, but also Apple's shift in focus to all of their other products. Take it one at a time, Apple... That's all I have to say.
I have yet to receive my tracking number, now that it's the 26th. I think either Apple or Verizon or whomever is selling should have to compensate for such a waiting time, and shipping out to certain people earlier rather than those who ordered before said people.
I'm too frustrated about this...

Do you think Apple manufactures these iPhones that are being mailed out from china? or are you saying that the logistical process of when the phones arive in the U.S is being backed up along with all the other Apple devices coming out?
 
Oct. 17 - ordered my Verizon 32gb black from apple.com. Still hasn't shipped.
It will deliver between Nov. 16-23 according to Apple store app.

Same here. I'm guessing ours ships Monday-Tuesday the latest since it seems like they left off Friday with 10/3 orders, shipping about 2 days of orders per day. I'm in no hurry here in NJ with the hurricane coming up the coast. =/

Hope so! I downgraded to my old samsung slider phone for the month since I hadn't been using much data on my motorola and I figured I could save $40/month from deactivating it/insurance. However, this month has been killer without a good smartphone haha.
