Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

10/8 order mine still says 11/2. Same black and 16gb

Check your card. I bet it was shipped today. You should have it by the end of the day on the 31st. :D

Ordered my white 16gb on 10/14 was told my Verizon that I would get it on or before 11/02 (my birthday). Haven't seen any action and my card hasn't been charged yet! Doesn't look like I will get my phone by my birthday, very disappointed!!!!! #

Expected ship date of 11/2. I saw the ones being shipped out on the 31st are ones that didn't arrive on 10/29, but maybe they'll send out 11/2's at that time as well? I'm guessing that if not, we should see ours between 11/2 and 11/7
 
Ordered 16GB white and black

the Black iPhone order seems to be moving along, as my card was charged for it today.

The White iPhone order still says "We have received your order and it is in process"

....since I'm adding a line to my account, they forced me to make two separate transactions.
 
Ordered a 16gb Black on 10/7. Card was charged this weekend so hopefully it will get here this week unless Sandy wreaks some major havoc.

If you go to the VZW website it says "Expected Ship Date" Not "Expected Delivery Date" also, key words; Expected.

Like I said, you still have a full business week to see action and your freaking out because your patience is one of a five year old that may not get it on your birthday?

Relax. I ordered on 10/8 for a black 16gb and haven't seen anything either with the same "Expected Ship Date" of 11/2.

Some people on these forums are freaking out over a damn EXPECTED ship date.

*Updated* My status has changed from ""Received order and is processing"" to.... "We received your order and it is in process. " BUT my card is not charged yet.
 
I just got the email from Verizon about the "compensation" It's 30% off of any case for an iPhone 5.

After I got off the phone with Verizon Friday night I went online and found a Best Buy that had a small stock of iPhone 5s and I was there as soon as they opened and was able to get a white 16 gb iPhone 5 for my girlfriend and I.

We canceled our orders with Verizon over the phone as soon as we walked in the door and confirmed they had them in stock.

I apologize for everyone waiting but this is nuts. If they want to compensate then give us our upgrade fee back or something substantial instead of a discounted case.
 
16GB Black and 16GB White ordered 10/7

Received shipping email today for the Black 16GB and my card was charged last night.

16GB White has not been charged on my card as of now, and still "In Process"

My order changed to "Sent to processing" Sunday morning. Verizon took the money out of my account last night. I checked today and now my order says estimated ship date of 11/16!!

I don't understand how my status changed and the money came out of my account, but yet they push my date back half a month.

iPhone 5 16GB. Ordered 10/5.

I'm not too happy. It makes me mad seeing people who ordered the same phone after me and they have already got it and mine gets pushed back. I may just cancel and wait til all of the hype dies down and just go to the store and get one. I'm sure I'd get it faster that way based on how things are going right now. Lol. :confused:

You can actually check all local Best Buy stores, and Radio Shacks online for in store inventory within about 50 miles of your zip code.

That's how I was able to find one.

I think you should just take a deep breath(maybe scream out loud once) and relax. Don't cancel your order. It won't be available anywhere for a long time. Just stick with the order. People are freaking because of the high demand of the phone. If anything, blame apple. They didn't make enough/supplies were slow. Get over it. #firstworldproblems

I still don't think it's right for Verizon to continue to take people's money and give them a shipping date, only to push it back even further, yet send other people their phones who ordered afterwards. I think Apple should've had more iPhones in stock, because they had to of known the demand would be super high. I think they cut supplies short to keep up the hype of the iPhone 5 so it doesn't die down as fast.

As many people have stated previously. It's about size,color, and potentially location on who gets it first. Order date doesn't mean much. And Apple did not purposely cut supplies. The demand is high because the demand is high. They can't keep up. It's their largest release ever. The 14 yr old Chinese kids can't keep with your 1st world demands.
