I wish incipio would redesign the NGP and duroSHOT DRX cases. Incipio sent me an email stating, "At this time we do not have plans to redesign the NGP or duroSHOT DRX case for the Verizon iPhone 4. We do plan to release additional styles for this device but have not set t a release date at this time." BUMMER

SGP should have the Neo Hybrid out for the verizon phone in a month or so.

To get me by until then, is the casemate Pop worth the money? At least they are on their game and have a case properly designed for the verizon iphone.

here is my power support anti-glare really like the fact that no finger prints show up at all and its very easy to wipe clean

What case is that for the Verizon iPhone4...looks really good?

i have a question to the ladies of MR... what kind of case are you getting? And do you plan to carry it in your purse? My mom is afraid of her keys etc. scratching the screen. (I plan on putting a screen projector on but still.. )

I am planning on an otterbox case. I just ordered a Defender for my ipad, and plan to get the Commuter for my phone. Hope they get them out soon.:D

I tried out the commuter yesterday on my verizon iphone, everything fits just dandy.

I'm ordering one of those right now off the bay.

I wanted something like the NGP but i couldn't wait any longer. yesterday i bought from verizon the belkin "silicone" but really its called the vue. Similar to the NGP (somene tell me if the NGP is thicker) its a pretty good case. Made out of TPU and not silicone. The cutouts are good and responsive to buttons. Seems its a revision of the original AT&T version with a much larger camera cut to prevent "whiteout" from the flash and the covered buttons do respond just fine now. This is based on prior reviews i have seen on youtube and the issues people have had with it. The camera cut might be a little too big but i'd rather not have any interference with pictures just to be on the safe side. Overall good TPU case. Also still seems to fit fine with a back protector on.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_6 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E200 Safari/6533.18.5)

The Incipio duroSHOT DRX fits. I got one in the mail today. I had an Incipio NGP before which I had been using and the NGP case was applying pressure and rubbing up against the sleep button. The duroSHOT DRX is also less bulky and a tighter fit. I only wish that Incipio has better color options. I am not really a fan of the two-tone and really liked the smoke semi-translucent NGP case in this regard.

kny3twalkerm,
How well did the Incipio duroSHOT DRX fit your VZW iphone? Especially the cutout by the mute toggle switch?

If you could provide a picture or two that would be sweet!

Thanks

duroSHOT DRX Versus NGP

Incipio duroSHOT DRX

The Incipio duroSHOT DRX fits the Verizon iPhone quite well. Of course the mute button is not centered, but it is NOT touching the case either, unlike the NGP case. Furthermore, the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material is higher quality than the TPU used for the NGP case; it's smoother on the back and softer on the sides; and the polycarbonate edge is very smooth to the touch. The polycarbonate edge and smooth TPU back of the duroSHOT DRX should make removing the phone from your pocket easier than the NGP too. Then the openings for the headphone port and dock port are both beveled. Finally the duroSHOT DRX seems to offer slightly more protection in a slightly smaller, tighter-fitting package.

The only notable downside seems to be bottom edge made of TPU near the dock port which is flexible, similar to the NGP case, but slightly more so as the TPU material of the case is softer around the front and sides of the phone. Some other minor complaints include a slight edge between the polycarbonate and the thermoplastic polyurethane on both the sides and back and a mark on the upper left-hand corner from the molding process.

Incipio should have really considered this during the design and development phase and made it so the molding mark was on one of the bottom corners. As far the slight edge where the polycarbonate meets the TPU, hopefully after some use, it will become smoother, but for the $34.95 retail price Incipio is asking, it's not too much to think the case could have had a little time in the polisher. As I said before these are very minor issues.
Overall, I would rate this case an 8 or 9. And I would rate the NGP a 7 or 8, regardless of the fitment issues with the Verizon iPhone.

Photos were taken with my iSight camera so quality could be better.

While the mute button is close, there is really about 1mm in between the case and the button.

2 questions....

1. is anyone using an apple bumper? Hows the protection. I've always like the white bumper with the black phone...
2. My mom is using the sena slip case and doesn't like it. She says its to tight to quickly grab the phone out. (She has to keep the phone out a little bit) Are there other cases that are maybe horizontal without the clip that could work. I was looking at the switcheasy Duo case. Anyone have this case? Is it easy to slip in and out of?

SwitchEasy has removed the "'CapsuleRebel For iPhone 4' currently does not fit the Verizon iPhone 4, compatible version will be available soon" window from the CapsuleRebel page on their website while some of their pages for other cases still have the warning.

I would love if this case is now compatible although the page for the product doesn't mention the Verizon iPhone anywhere on the page. I'm sending the company an email before I buy it. Has anybody had any flaking issues with this case like with the CaseMate Pop! case?

I am using a black Apple bumper and I am love it. It feels minimalistic and looks like it actually belongs on the iPhone. The grip is superb. As far as protection goes, it's minimal.

Got a reply from the company!
Dear Customer,

The 4G cases we have in our store is now all Universal cases with a
slightly larger slid on the side where the “off & on” button is so we
can accommodate both AT&T and Verizon iPhone model.

Thank You

Anita

I'm confused about their reply... is she saying that ALL switcheasy cases are now compatible? Some still give the warning (ie vulcan) when you click on them. I'll have to figure this out before I order anything. Don't want to order the nude if it doesn't cover the front edge.
