Odd that the picture doesn't say "Verizon" on the iphone.
I guess Apple wanted to keep everything neutral or...Sprint/T-mobile getting iphones next?

It's on the back in sticker form, but yeah, no other verizon identifiers of any kind

Even though the iPhone is going to have so many features that you would be stupid not to upgrade, are there any features that iPhone won't have compared to your old phone that you'll miss?

My wife and I have the original BB Storm and the only thing well mis is the way that :$ <------ this looks right here. We always joke that it looks like you got caught eating the last cookie and you're embarrassed.

I will be sooo glad to get rid of my storm. It's gotten to the point that I have to remove that battery AT LEAST twice a day. Good riddance!

lol, that's cute.

The only think I'll miss about the Storm is BB messenger. But that does not remotely come close to making up for the years of frustration. Good riddance!

Still impatiently waiting......

So while I am waiting has anyone had any trouble activating it and getting your contacts to your new Iphone? ;)

Agree totally. this morning I could not open a text sent to me. Had to reboot the damn phone. iPhone should arrive within the next hour at my office! Not son enough!

Cool how it says "January 7" on the Calendar icon.

You all are brave souls. I had to get rid of my Storm 1, it was so bad! Then I got the moto droid, which I had to have replaced 3 times, all manufaturing problems... Then I got the storm2 which was okay for about a month and then it got so slow I couldn't take it anymore. My boyfriend was nice enough to get me a BB Bold, but there are some things on the blackberrys I just can't stand... Facebook & Twitter are SO slow and pretty much every other app takes forever... And, I am in a 3G area so I know it has nothing to do with having service or not.

We never used BB messenger. Never understood it really. And certainly don't know what a pin message.

Ordering on another phone number

Per my local VZW rep, you will need to be sure that you have saved the emails on the phone that the iPhone was ordered on. You first need to activate it on that number, THEN you can change it to your phone number. Good luck.:)

Going from the Storm to the iphone is going to be like heaven!

For all those of you still clicking and tracking on Fedex, mine still says "arrived at local facility", but they're delivered. :)

I'll also kinda mis the notification led. I hope I'd apple keeps the home button that they integrate a notification led in it.

All of you who will get your phones prior to 6pm (EST) today are lucky... I will not get home from work until then. :(

woohoo!! got my viPhone its activated and all is well. I can report that the greenpois0n jailbreak does not work on this phone.

Hey everyone,

I've been reading this topic since the begining, and I wanted to say thanks for keeping me entertained throughout the waiting process. My phone came about an hour and a half ago, and I've been enjoying every minute of it! Be patient!

Anyway, just a few things:

- Switching to a different line was pretty easy. Once I activated it through iTunes, I went on the Verizon website and swapped a new phone onto the line my iPhone was activated on. The second part, putting the iPhone onto the next line, is easier. For some reason the website didn't like the MEID I put on there. So I called up the Verizon Customer Service line and I got a very helpful gentleman named Mike. After talking about the Super Bowl and Larry the Cable guy, he instructed me that all I needed to do was dial *228 and the backend would do the rest of the work. Sure enough, it did, and I was using the phone a minute later.

- Using the Verizon Transfer app, MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ON WI-FI. I tried getting it to work, then turned off Wi-Fi, and voila, contacts transfered (after entering an SMS code). Must only work over the network.

Just got harassed by Best Buy security on my way out when I took my iPhone in to have an Invisible Shield installed on it. I carried the iPhone in its box in my hoodie and left out with the box in my hand. The guy really chased me down in the parking lot and demanded he see my receipt. So I showed him the receipt for the invisible shield and he says, where is the receipt for the iPhone? I said on my computer. I told him, you don't even carry the Verizon iPhone yet. He proceeded to say, "Have a good day".

To all of you who have received your phones... did you have a 12pm scheduled delivery? Mine's at 3pm and I'm hoping it comes earlier!!

Oh yeah, and when the fedex guy got here I met him out at his van and both shelves on one side of the truck were filled with what looked like iphones. They had verizon labels from ft worth and were the same size as mine so I gotta think most were phones. :)
