Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

The 3PM only applies to commercial addresses. FedEx and UPS deliver by end of day to residential addresses (sometimes up to 7PM). However, I bet you can expect it pretty soon (and before 3PM).

Has everyone already been notified that their phone has shipped? My order status just says, completed, and shipping will be updated later.
I placed my 3 orders for work between 4:24 and 4:42 am on Thursday, and have no other communication from VZW other than the original confirms that were emailed. Very frustrating.

I got an email from Verizon about a few hours later (I placed my order around 2:55am) and it said it had been shipped.

This is actually happening to my friend. What area code are you? D7711-01 seems to be having the most trouble.
After the confirmation email, we all got shipping emails with a tracking number.
Try calling 611 and see if you can get an update there. Also, many people said using their reference number on either fedex or ups worked to get some tracking information as well.

Dunno. Called fedex because my tracking didn't update. The guy assured me it was on the truck and was going to be delivered to my home by 3.
What did you do for texting? SMS? Then there will be a charge (unless u have the texting plan i.e. $5/mo, etc), but BBM is data so it's free. BBM also has more options and is more "instant", hence, instant messaging. Also you can transfer files, pictures, etc., over it. You also can put a pic to identify your contact, etc. Basically it has more features.
In comparison to other messengers like windows messenger, BBM will always stay on as long as your phone is on. Other 3rd party messengers will stay on only if you tell it to stay on, and if u reset your phone, ur BBM will come back online automatically.
Also cool feature of BBM is the barcode. If you want to add someone to your contacts, all you have to do is take a picture of their barcode and it'll add it to your contacts (they have to approve of course).
So yea, basically more features.

Completed my order before 3am and in the same boat as you. Very frustrating indeed..

God knows if I went, as soon as I turned down the street, the UPS truck would pull right up to my apartment.
Ok - so I guess I was on the late side of the orders. So, I have no idea when I will get them. Since I am not one of the users, I guess they will have to wait, for the fun, not me. I still need to keep my Blackberry to support the other BB users and will hold onto my AT&T 3Gs iPhone until the contract is up.
How frusterating... (Unless the tracking updates in may area is down) I phone is sitting at the sort facility... which happens to be two blocks from my office, which is where I am at now! I spoke to FedEx Friday and they said they were instructed by Verizon not to hold items until after the 1st delivery atempt... it justs stinks that I have to wait until 6 pm tonight to get home when it is right down the street! Gotta be patient I guess!
