I called UPS, they said Verizon is just "scanning in" and making sure the packages are in route, WE WILL HAVE THEM BY 7pm at the latest :rolleyes:

I'm an hour south of Virginia Beach. I called FedEx to find out when they would be here with my phone. The lady on the phone said that the trucks are running 30 minutes behind due to the weather in our area. I asked what weather. She said snow in the area. I said snow? Are you kidding? It's 53 degrees and sunny here. Been sunny all day. She said I'm sorry sir but that's what the computer system is telling me. I laughed and told her that her computer is wrong. Too warm and sunny to snow here. Then she wanted to get argumentative. That's when I hung up. Maybe I'll get it by 5 if she's correct on the 30 minute delay because of the snow, 53 degree temps and sunshine.
 
Stupid TMO has nothing good haha. I've been debating whether it's worth switching to CDMA. My only draw back is that I switch phones like socks so CDMA may not be a wise choice and I really don like AT&T.

yeah, I called them, they said 7pm for residential, 3pm if we were commercial ppl

Damn well better since their driver screwed the pooch with my delivery yesterday. Incidentally, with me living the distance from Va Beach that I do, I'm hoping that I get mine earlier since it will take the driver a minimum of an hour to return to their warehouse.

Dude I used to be the same way. Until I got the iphone of course then somehow that all stopped. But if you do like switching phones you can still do that farily easy with verizon. You can switch the phones yourself in "my verizon". you can just input the new esn of the phone and thats about it. Also with the back up assistant feature you can get all your numbers into the new phone. just a thought. :)
 
So i was in school and missed FedEx so i will be at their door at 6:30pm to pick up my iPhone.. Bitter sweet.

I've been peeking in and out of here for a few days. Mine arrived yesterday and it was glorious until I realized that behind the glass there were clumps of dust. Couldn't even read parts of the screen. Don't know how it happened. Anyway, called Verizon and I have to ship it back tomorrow and they'll send me a new one come Thursday. I was worried they'd be pissy about it, but they couldn't have been more awesome. Just bummed I gotta wait another week...
 
Mine arrived at 4:45. In the process of downloading my music onto it. The Zagg Invisible Shield is installed on it and all my contacts have been synced. Life is good.:D:D:D:D

Nah, they have to wait until the official launch day to place an order for me... so looks like the waiting game again for me but no biggie. I'll just spend time finding the perfect case to place it in once it comes.

Might be quicker to take the phone to an Apple store on the 10th. Most likely they will swap it out right there.

I would make an appointment at your nearest Apple store. Even if you wait and go Friday or Sat you will still get your phone faster than wait for Verizon to mail it back to you!

Just a thought.
 
I got lucky with my case. I got it from my dad's ATT iphone and it fits fine. I used to have a Moto Droid and an Eris and I gotta say, the iPhone 4 isn't even in the same league. It's an entirely different game! Most advanced piece of technology I have ever held, and it is beautiful. People are like, "well it doesn't play flash," but oh yes, it does if you want it to, without jailbreaking too. And the way it displays web pages is a billion times better than android. And the touch screen keyboard is also a billion times better/easier than any droid I have ever used. Plus it doesn't get slow with a bunch of apps running like android does. I am in love :p

Screen protectors aren't worth it to me they don't look good or feel right and their protection is minimal
 
Got my iPhone! I had to go to the FedEx place. Every one their was picking up a iPhone and it was packed.

I got the Zagg Invisible Shield for mine. Put it on myself. Looks really good. Can't even tell it's there really. For the money It was a good investment. It's going in a case eventually, but I wanted protection for it when it's in the case as well since they seem to get scratched up while in the cases.
