    I don't want a contract so I can keep my unlimited data plan.

    Is it $749 for the 128 GB? I can't seem to find a clear answer on the non-contract pricing other than the T-Mobile option on the Apple site.

    That is all I saw as well. The only way to know for sure is to possibly wait till launch day and buy it full retail on their website. I will be doing the same but am going to wait out and see how bad this LTE throttling is going to be with Verizon.

    iPhone 6
    ---------
    16GB -> $650
    64GB -> $750
    128GB -> $850

    Add another $100 to each for the 6 plus.

    So far my LTE throttling hasn't been bad. I stream live stuff from my Xfinity app all the time and it's been decent.

    Do you think it's supposed to change?

    ----------

    Ok. Thanks.

    Yikes... $950 for the top 6 Plus... :eek:

    Even if you purchased it now and don't like the service, it's an unlocked phone and you can use it anywhere.

    Verizon's network optimization does not start until October.

    Good to know. So I bet I'll see some throttling starting November...
    That stinks. I'm still paying full price just in case it's tolerable.

    Just to be clear you can ONLY order the non-contract version from Verizon, not Apple, if you are available for an upgrade. Apple is NOT selling off contract on Verizon and AT&T.

    This simply isn't true. Via Apple, if the line that you want to purchase your phone on isn't eligible for an upgrade, you just have to pay full retail. Doing so will not extend your contract.

    You may want to read my post again as i said if you are NOT eligible for an upgrade. Never said anything about contract. Attention to detail.

    Right. But you understand that paying for a phone at full price is the same as buying off contract... And Apple offers this if you're aren't eligible for an upgrade ( aka still within a 2 year agreement ).

    What if my line has an upgrade available which I DON'T want to use and instead I use my fiancee's line (on the same plan) which isn't eligible for an upgrade, will it give me the option of paying full price and then I simply just put the phone on my line instead?

    Please let me know if I am understanding this correctly:

    If I want to buy the iPhone 6 at full price, I will be able to preorder it this Friday on apple's website, as long as I am not eligible for an upgrade.

    However, if I am eligible for an upgrade, then I cannot buy the iPhone 6 at full price on apple's website this Friday.

    Is this correct?

    Would you mind answering my question as well, that is if one of the lines is eligible for an upgrade, could I just use a line that isn't eligible and be able to preorder full price on Friday just using that line instead? (even though they're all on the same plan)

    However, you can order it from Verizon and pay full price and keep your unlimited data plan. That is what I did with the 5S last year. That is your only option if you wish to keep unlimited data.

    I am currently in the middle of my contract with my 5s. Can I sell my 5s, use another phone on that line in the meantime, buy the 5s for full price (since I'm not eligible for an upgrade), and then swap the other phone for the new 6 to use on my line? (I have VZW as well)

    That's me. I'll just buy at a Verizon store. For my iPhone 5, I got there so early expecting the usual line and fanfare with short supply... I could have shown up an hour after open and not waited at all. I'm expecting this will be similar.

    That should work just fine. But I hope you meant 6 not 5S :p

    What if you're not already a Verizon customer? (I'm currently using a cheapo Android through Tracfone.)

    I want to buy a Verizon iPhone 6 w/out contract. Any advice?
