So I canceled my pre order for my 32gb Plus Back ship date Oct 5. I instead reserved one at an Apple store, just picked it up a few mins ago. I then went to a CORPORATE Verizon store and traded in my old Iphone 6 for the $650 Promo. So it works.

Im official done and damn phone looks great!
Thanks for this story. Glad its possible!! Going in this afternoon! Woot!

Without revealing too much information, could those that have traded in at the Verizon Corporate Store, but purchased through the Apple Store, post a copy of the receipt, or paperwork given at the Verizon Store?

I know it's a lot to ask for, but I'm trying to upgrade two lines on my account sooner rather than later.

So today I picked up the black 128gb 7+ I ordered last night at the Apple Store then went to Verizon and traded in my 6+ for the $650. They gave me a paper receipt and emailed one to me as well.

I gotta say this thing is fast. Y'all weren't kidding. Like my 6+ was fast but almost everything is instantaneous on the 7+.

Do you mind posting a pic of the receipt/email screenshot? Exclude personal information of course :)

How do we enroll in the Verizon monthly payment program when reserving an iPhone through the Apple Store? I only see the Apple monthly option. For Verizon option, it says $419 (iPhone 7+ 128GB). Also, it says line fee of $40. When I reserved my iPhone through Verizon on 9/12, they upgraded my plan and said my line fee went down to $20. I am so confused lol...

Why do you need to see their receipt again? How does that help you?

To confirm the trade in amount or promo code. Usually these things have codes, a $ amount, or some language around the T&C's.

Just double confirmation for those that want to replicate this. I've learned not to trust Verizon. They say one thing but do another.

This has been confirmed many times over already.

If you aren't sure, call the VZW numbers that we provided earlier in the thread. They'll get you sorted.

The Verizon installment program is only available in brick and mortar Apple Stores. It's not available online last I checked. I think the only installment plan they offered for Verizon through online Apple Store is the Apple's own (via Citizen One).

Yes I think this is correct. Last week I checked it was actually available, but for the past two days that option seems to be removed. This webpage clearly states the policy: http://www.apple.com/shop/carrier-financing-overlay/verizon
"Verizon Device Payment is available at the Apple Store. It is not available at apple.com."

If I buy from Apple directly and do the upgrade program will i still be able to trade in my iPhone 6 to get the $650 credit through verizon? Or do I have to buy from verizon or best buy?

Use the iUP link to reserve. Go to the Apple Store, tell the specialist there you don't want to do iUP but Verizon's financing plan. According to posts here, most specialists are chill, but some refuse to sell it to you unless you do the Apple iUP. I met such a staff at NYC Grand Central and was turned away even after I showed the email language that I should be allowed to pay in whatever method I wanted.

This thread answers that users were able to purchase at a Apple and trade in at Verizon.

I went to a Verizon Corporate Store which is a couple blocks from my office yesterday. I told them that I have purchased two phones from apple.com, one of them has been delivered on launch day and would like to trade in my iPhone 6. He said no immediately since I got it from Apple so I asked him to check for me just to be sure since I was already at the store. I mentioned I heard people on the Internet could do it successfully for the same issue. After about five minutes, he confirmed and he read the conditions to me saying it was not applicable on apple.com. With that, I told him that if I wanted to do the trade in I would need to order another phone with VZ and cancel my existing order with Apple for 7+. He helped me place an order. Initially, I also thought I had to pay upfront for the phone, but it was not the case. Instead of getting the 7+ some time in October, my ship date with VZ is 11/16/16 for MB. I am hoping I will get it much sooner than that.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would say go to a different Verizon store and just say you have an iPhone 7 on device payment plan, and saw the offer and would like to trade in. Don't mention where you bought it unless they ask. If you look at the offer online there's really no language saying it cannot be from Apple. And technically as long as the phone is activated and on Verizon DPP, in their IT system you are automatically eligible for the offer, so there's no technical reason they cannot do this for you. Just find another store, a nicer guy. Then you can cancel the VZ order.

So, I have a Verizon iPhone 7 plus reserved at the Apple store. I am moving my wife from Verizon prepaid to my Verizon postpaid account. Since her account is a prepaid will I still be able to do this at the Apple Store. I know I would need to add the line and phone to my Postpaid account, but also want to move her phone number too. Thanks for the help! :)

To confirm the trade in amount or promo code.
There is no promo code and the trade in amount is $650 paid out in $27.08/mo installments.

To directly move a prepaid number to postpaid requires Verizon. Apple may be able to do this via their channel support help line but they may not be able to do it. All you can do is try.

If they can't do it, then you have to go through Verizon directly.

You should have had him try to do the trade in any how. If you bought the phone from Apple but financed through Verizon on Verizon DPP and the rep is logged into your account, the system autopopulates to $650 TIV.

However, if you bought from apple.com, then idk if you bought financed through Verizon.

You can buy from Apple but the promo is only if you buy the phone financed through Verizon on DPP. I know you can do that if you buy in an Apple store, but when I did a mock online order through apple.com, I did not see that option. The only option I saw was financed by CitizensOne, which is obviously not financed through Verizon.

When I placed my order on apple.com, the only option was financed by CitizensOne as well. The detail is below. Am I missing anything?

Apparently, you can change to the Verizon DPP during the pickup process at the Apple Store. If you order online and have it shipped, then no-go. I think...

Then you aren't eligible for the promo. If you did ship to home, you can take the device to a store and see if they can return it and let you repurchase on Verizon DPP. They may let you do a return and repurchase of the same device in store, idk, you would have to ask.

AFAIK, there is no way to order a phone through apple.com ship to home that is financed by Verizon. You can do it in store, but not through apple.com. The only phones eligible for the promo are those financed by Verizon where your payment shows up on your Verizon bill.

You can buy a device financed by Verizon at an Apple store or Best Buy, Costco, Target, etc. and of course through Verizon directly. But I don't see a way to do it through apple.com if you are choosing ship to home.

Yes, that is how I understand it. If you do pickup in store, you can have them change it to a Verizon DPP when you go to pick up. But if you chose ship to home, then it is shipped directly from China and it is not financed by Verizon.

Thank you all for the clarification. When I placed my order a little after midnight, the in store pickup option was not available for Seattle.

I'm new to the Verizon trade in program. In the past, I have always sold my old iPhones on Craigslist and eBay. However, the $650 promo is too good to pass up.

My only concern is the wording of, "Trade in must be in good working and cosmetic condition." This is a little but of a grey area. What does Verizon consider as "good working and cosmetic condition?" I would consider my phone in good condition and probably a 7/10 for a 2 year old phone. The only thing it has is some little Knicks/scratches from dirt/dust getting inside of the case that's been on the phone for 2 years.

I'm probably looking way too much into it. Thoughts? Thanks!
