My understand is that whatever line(s) that is still under the 2-year contract will have to continue to pay the $40/month, even IF you switched the whole family to the new plan. Only the ones that are out of contract can enjoy the new $20/month. I'm pretty sure about this one, since I called Verizon twice about this already. So for example if you have four lines and two are in contract and two are out of contract, and you switched to the new plan, then you are looking at ($20+$20+$40+$40) line access fee until the other two lines are also out of contract, after which you will get $20*4.

This is exactly right, and is actually my exact situation that I went through in-store today.

I am a bit confused...why would I not just get the phone on a 2 year contract, sell my previous phone to break even and not have any monthly payments....am I missing something here?

Because you'll be paying a $40/mo access fee instead of a $20/mo access fee.

Now the question is will we be prompt for this promotion during the check out process? Or how do we get it exactly...

I am wondering the same thing. Just make sure you choose the monthly payment option when you go through checkout. You won't be doing your trade-in until next week anyway, so I'm about 99% sure you'll be able to get the promotion, as long as you have an iPhone 7 activated on your account when you do the trade-in. I've done a similar trade-in promotion before, and the timing didn't really matter, you just had to activate your new phone first.

Pic is very clear. Apologies for any confusion I caused. This is pretty rad!

No worries :D

Does the monthly bill for the phone just show on your verizon bill? Or a completely seperate bill?

Did you verify if higher models were included?

Higher models are Included i just talked to a customer service. They take the trade in value and subtract it from the MSRP and then divided that by 24 months and that is what you are billed and you will still get your credit towards your line access fee.

As it takes 2 to 3 bill cycles to be reflected on the bill, does that mean that I will be making the full / normal monthly device payment for the first 2-3 months? If yes, will I get a refund for those 2-3 months?

I read the first page and have realize how freaking confusing these deals are. in the end it only benefits the carrier. im sticking to my 2yr contact... I get a discounted upgrade this year and I sell my old iPhones myself for a higher price. I can get 350-450$ for my iphone 6s 64gb right now on CL why would I trade it in to VZ for 200-250$.

You can trade it in and get $650 for it..

And why continue do the 2 year contract and continue to pay $40/month vs $20/month line access fee?

So can we order through Apple's site to take advantage of this deal? Or do we have to order through Verizon's site?

FYI - I was able to use the Verizon app to upgrade...in process now. Confused why I'm being charged $20 upgrade fee...and my line fee shows $15 now vs $40.

Looking at the terms, it seems like it can only be for a 32gb iphone 7 or iphone 7 plus. Am I reading that right? if I wanted a 7 plus 128gb i wouldn't qualify for this promotion?

According to Reddit, we would be responsible for the first 2-3 payments. If that is true, then it's really closer to a trade-in-value of $570-$600 (rounding up). Still not too terrible I suppose..
