If I got a 3G iPad it would be because I do a lot of traveling - if that were the case - I would go with Verizon.
Insignificant and irrelevant difference, but just curious what would make the ATT pad (613g) heavier than VZ's (607g)?

Really?
Buy whichever has the better service coverage where you'll be using it.
Factor in the data service prices/terms when they're updated.
How much do SIM cards weigh?jk
Currently, Verizon has 1GB of data for $20 (cheapest plan) and AT&T has a 250MB plan for $15 and a 2GB plan for $25.I can't seem to find the monthly pricing plans on att vs verizon. How much does the data plans cost?
Currently, Verizon has unlimited 3G data for $30 and AT&T has a 250MB plan for $15 and a 2GB plan for $25.
There are rumors going around that Verizon will bring in tiered data plans soon, but that is the current pricing for smartphones and tablets.
I was completely wrong. I had forgotten about tablet data pricing. Check out the Xoom's 3G pricing for more info on what the plans for the iPad 2 will look like:I just checked out Verizon pricing for iPad 1. They have something called MiFi 2200 that has to be hooked up with iPad1 so it can access Verizon network. Lowest price is $20 for 1 GB. No info on iPad2 3G pricing. Price for 16 GB iPad1 and MiFi 2200 is $629. I assume that was before today and iPad2 announcement.
