If a phone works just fine for someone (and they can get a better deal on it now), why is it idiotic not to wait for the next one that is unknown just because it's newer? Perhaps they'll sell this phone off in a bit and get a newer one later, or perhaps they are more than fine having the currently latest one for the next 2 years because it works for them. Blindly going for whatever is the newest just because, now that could be referred to as idiotic on the other hand.

Yup. I love it when people call an idea or person idiotic because its something that isn't right for them. Like Mormonism. It's not right for me but I think it's pretty ingenious, not idiotic. Haha. Maybe that's not the best comparison but you get the gist.

My sister just got her iPhone 5s from BB over this last weekend - she secured a gold 64 gb for $125 out the door (California full value taxes were $78 bucks of that) after her trade in and credits with a two year contract

She traded in a malfunctioning 4s and got $150, had a phone freedom $50 credit, and a $50 gift card from her BB rewards. Since she has Sprint and I can't get her over to Verizon- she got the 5s for $299 because of instant $100 discount then minus all the discounts above

It made sense to me since she doesn't care about latest and greatest it was a good option for her
